I'm not really sure what's the status of the titles published by GOG. I mean, is GOG just acting as a mere publisher or are those games actually owned by GOG? Aside from the external IPs (D&D, Warhammer...), to what extent do GOG need to give an explanation to someone about whatever they want to do with the games? Could GOG create Fantasy General 2, for example?
Gog owns Pacific General and Fantasy General as trademarks, so they have the right to publish sequels unless they agreed on something else with Ubisoft when buying the trademarks from them.

According to a post by Judas, they, at the very least, own Fantasy and Pacific General. GOG aren't developers, though, so don't expect a sequel made by them, but they could assign the development to CDPR or some other developer.

Or remakes.
Pacific General, Fantasy General... and War Wind, right? I guess that means that this game will eventually show up here.

.

OK, that's about the trademarks, but what about the games in themselves? It seems that GOG owns those two or three games and their names, it's also obvious that the other big brands are not owned by GOG (D&D...), but it's still not clear to me who is the owner of the games. Is a game like Eye of the Beholder an asset of GOG? Is the availability of the game totally up to GOG and the deal they can get for the renewal of the IP?

There's also People's General.
I have to admitt that I'm intrigued too...
It's sure that if GoG want to make an Eye of the Beholder IV for example, they'll have to negociate with Hasbro... But I wonder if GoG have this kind of plan if the sales are satisfying...
