Blood Omen.

It's a shame because the rest of the series is here.

Treadstone1-5: Anyone got any ideas which games you believe GOG will never be able to bring back?

My money is on:
No One Lives Forever, Simpsons Hit and Run, Mafia 2, Escape from Monkey Island
Doesn't "bring back" suggest that the game is not sold anymore anywhere? Mafia 2 is sold on the Steam store so GOG wouldn't "bring it back" anymore than they would bring back e.g. Skyrim.

Not that i wouldn't like them to appear on GOG, of course... :)

amrit9037: Myth
Old Mechwarrior/Battletech Games
Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo
Half-Life/ other Valve titles
Cryostasis
XIII
Lord of The Rings: Battle for the Middle Earth series
Valve titles are still being sold on Steam but they never were on GOG

The forum thread says games that GOG will never be able to bring BACK, not "Games that GOG will never be able to sell"
What about Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 :).The guys faced a legal dispute over the name, and had to change it.Soo i guess we won't be seeing this bad boy anymore .Luckily some of use picked it up on time ;).Cheers
By now NOLF is soo far and on the "impossible to get" scale that it almost falls in the "to be released shortly" area :D
The Prisoner 2, based on the outstanding tv series. With all of 10 votes on the wishlist, the game being old as dirt (1982) and possibly a difficult license situation I'd be amazed to see this here.

Lin545: Interplay's release of Fallout series.
I will wait for the day Interplay buys the publishing rights back from Bethesda and my classic Fallout games become flagged as "owned" again ;).Cheers
If you remember the old dungeon master games by interplay, they wont release that, but we have created a fresh new game very similar to dungeon master called Mines of Grimvale, you can find it over at itch.io its on sale.

PotCO.. lol
Categorically:
1) Titles which aren't here because they contain outside licensed IPs.
Examples like Dune, Buck Rogers, XIII, the games with licensed cars, etc. Games where either the license holder is historically tight with the license or the cost to re-license all the cars or music makes a release fiscally irresponsible.

2) MMORPH's and MMO's.
Primarily because they are based around being fun with a large user base and aren't nearly as fun playing solo. They just don't work without masses of players.

I have hope for games which are merely in rights limbo. As enough time goes by, the likelihood that someone wins a valid court claim increases.
Mafia and Metal Gear Solid, both have been highly requested since day one and still nothing to this day.
- Commander Keen in Aliens Ate My Babysitter. It's unclear who owns the rights, so it's anyone's guess what's up with this.

- Anything by Epic Megagames. Been glaringly absent in digital form for too long.
what a depressing thread :P

If you need me I'll be over here washing down this bottle of sleeping pills with this bottle of vodka. XD
