Tokyo_Bunny_8990: Given the fact that many game directors are movie fans, I wouldnt be surprised if quite a few games are heavily inspired by movies.
Metal Gear Solid 3 and James Bond/Mission Impossible
Days Gone and the Walking Dead (tv show but I do honestly think Days is the closest experience to living in the Walking Dead world)
God Eater and Pacific Rim (no mechas but you are fighting Kaiju basically)
Freelancer and Star Wars (from a Han Solo perspective)
Kena: Bridge of Spirits and How to Train your Dragon/Brave
Dead Space and Alien
Sleeping Dogs and Infernal Affairs/The Departed
Big Boss with James Bond is a shoe-in, but Mission Impossible pairs better with Solid Snake's half of the story. And despite the space setting, I daresay Dead Space more perfectly matches the body-horror of The Thing.
