supplementscene: I'm in and it wasn't me who stole the candy on seats 1-10. 10 players is a pretty big SH set up. Are you sure 7v3 is balanced? The games I play tend to be 5v4 or 4v3 or 3v2

Is it still 3 fascist policies to reach Hitler zone?
Welcome!

I don't claim it is or isn't balanced; I know the official rules support 10, so that is what I am allowing.

The rules state

Players on the Fascist team win if either:• Six Fascist Policies are enacted.
OR• Hitler is elected Chancellor any time after the third Fascist Policy has been enacted.

Since Scene is playing I request we decide upfront whether or not we're going to play by Meta. I know Scene likes it, but I prefer we don't and whichever way we go it's best we get it decided before the game begins. Whatever is decided by a majority of players I will gladly abide to.

Also, I am specifically pushing a forum notification to Scene so he knows there's this "conflict" and can present his ideas on the subject.

@Scene: Yes, I know that if played properly Meta raises the chances for a liberal victory. Despite that I am still against it because it makes the game more mechanical and thus more boring. It's probably not much on a problem in SH.io where games take just a few minutes, but in the forum it drags way too long. Particularly voting two or even three governments in a row that are previously decided to fail is a ginourmous borefest.

Not only that, I think it is unfair for the fascist team as well. If the group sticks to Meta the fascists' only chance is to get lucky in seat positioning (and a bit on the deck shuffle). Now imagine if you're on a fascist team that just started the game in terrible positions. You're screwed and there's not much you can do to avoid it. It's simply unfair.

I don't think we should as I know some of the other players participating do not like it and think it spoils the game dynamic.

It's not about it being a 10 player game but rather the lack of fascist roles. With only 3 fascists and 7 Liberals, the fascists would have to kill 4 Liberals to be on level terms, which isn't feasable. They also are unlikely to be in government and all liberal governments are more likely. Which essentially would make it a Liberal walk over. Essentially the only fascist win condition I believe would be electing Hitler as chancellor in the Hitler zone.

So while it is completely your game and you decision I think having 4 fascist roles and 6 Liberal roles makes it fairer to the fascist team. It is also in the rules that 9 or 10 player games have 3 fascists and a Hitler.

'Make sure you have the correct number of
ordinary Fascists in addition to Hitler!'
Dibs on Dr. Wohn Jamish Hatson!
10 players = 6 Liberal + 3 Fascist + 1 Hitler.

Per the rules.

By the way, I am against Meta play too. That makes the game boring.
Also, Micro, please randomise the player order too, not just the roles.

Alright then. Good that we cleared that up already, this way it won't be a distraction during the game itself.

I agree that the number of liberals is too high for 10 players. It shouldn't be more than 6.

Thank you! I appreciate that! Yes, I had missed the bit about 3+H; my brain misremembered it as 2+1.

:O Yes, thanks for the reminder!

Dear ALL,

We need only 1 more player.

If you have no prior experience don't worry, all you need is a bit of common sense and time to post occasionally.
Bumpty Bump. We could always play 9 player if we can't find a 10th.
Come play an exciting game of deceit and figuring out who's telling the truth! It's the new sensation. Limited openings. Take the last spot while you have the chance!

*No nazi leanings required (or at all desirable) . Neither to play and even less to hold during your life.
Sometimes I think that the only way to get someone to play Mafia games is to create a dedicated Mafia giveaway contest or something. Sad times.
