(At least in the polish version) in the new GOG Galaxy versoin 1.2,

the notification in the bottom right corner always says:

Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt
FriendXYZ plays

It might be not a big deal, but why is that? We usually read from top to bottom, not the other way round. It just looks strange, that's all.
Yoda reference, maybe it is.
I don't think every gog galaxy user is a huge friend of Yoda, so this is questionable :D
More importantly, how do I turn this shit off? If I really felt it was important to notify someone that I was playing FTL or whatever, I would send them an email. But I never felt the need to do that. So I don't really see any reason to have that process automatized.

I really need to add you, I change games like I change positions. :D
Isn't that the way Steam does it? I guess maybe GOG figures that people who use clients are used to Steam's layout?

Nah I don't think steam notifies you unless you're playing the same game if I remember right.

GoG Galaxy: Settings => Notifications => "Friend starts a game" => Only in overlay / Only on desktop / -

That's for you as the recipient, "how do I stop my friends from bugging me every time they start a game". He's asking (so do I) "how do I stop my own Galaxy from bugging my friends every time *I* start a game". And that appears to not be an option.

No, I recall getting notifications of friends playing games I don't own, so it's not that.

This is what I'd like too.

Oh sorry. I don't think there is a way to do this (yet).

I couldn't find anything like this on the community wishlist, so I made a wish.
The funny thing is, I just noticed:

When a friend comes online, the order is correct:

His name
"is online"

though when a friend starts a game it's

"plays game"
his name

:D
