YukiAkano: Which still seems quite unintuitive, right? Is there a overhaul sorta thing planed? To just add via nicknames? Otherwise this would be sure a pain to have an active community.
tinyE: It occurs to me that if you 'add friends' that kills an active community. I don't friend anyone and I don't want anyone to request it of me because when I come in here I want to talk to everyone all the time, not have a separate group or a stupid clique. Save the chats and the PMs for exchanging codes, and you don't even need to friend people to do that. So really, other that separating yourself from the community as a whole, what does 'friending' accomplish?
I know that sounds a little bitchy by me but I assure you I don't mean it too. I'm genuinely curious what the point of it is.
That may be the case for you :) and ofc i respect that. But i don't want to talk to everyone all the time. I do enjoy my Friendlists and the comfort that comes with it.
On the other hand you can use it for different stuff. Inviting to games, setting up Chats with different Friends at once. I mean i do get your point of view. but i still think that a not intuitive friendsystem like that hurts GOG more than it gives.
Even if there is a good friend system you still have Forums where you can reach the entire community of GOG (but lets be honest a lot of people only show up in forums once they have a problem) so i do think for a fast and enjoyable experience you need a good friendsystem.
