[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

You need to create an FX account and confirm it, then click on ACQUISTA at the game page and you'll reach a download page where you can get the game, manual, secret codes, update and some advice on the update.

They even cared to translate the manual! Which would be awesome if I were Italian. These guys run a cool store for Italians.

Click on the left blue button and create an account.
If when you created one you are not logged yet, login with the right blue button.

The under the game click on "Acquista" near 100%, confirm and you will have the game in your lubrary.

Scroll all the way down. You need to provide twitter and fakebook info however. The first time I tried this I did not enter my FB info and never got the key, this time I just gave my fakebook info and got a steam key link, downloading now. The game has trading cards too so you can even make money off of this.

Yeah, but Survivors seems to have been a temporary freebie, games show up for free on and off now and then, and it's much easier with the new site layout to determine if a game is temporarily free or not by clicking on free, then On Sale.

It seems like another site that doesn't work well with opera as the giveaway part doesn't show up at all (w/ Opera), similar to how many of whosgamingnow giveaways don't load... As I'm only loading my fakebook on opera, Is this game worth bothering to load it in another browser?

There's no Steam, you need to download it from the store. It's in your account page, you can click and download the game along with update and a translated manual.

There's a few FlatOut resources online! You can unpack the game with an unpacking tool, get the language files, unpack those and then get a Lua source language file where you can modify the translation text. Then you save that, pack it back in and put it back.

I tried doing that, and turns out that the language file works this way: There's a slot for each language on the language file, for each text bit. If a slot is set to "nil", it is replaced with the text of the English slot.
But it seems instead of putting the Italian text in the Italian slot and running that, they put it on the English slot*, and set Italian to "nil". The English text is nowhere to be found!
I didn't want to translate the game myself, since I'd probably do it wrong and it'd come out weird, and it felt wrong and cumbersome to pirate the game and unpack the pirate copy just to get the proper English enabled language file and use it on the legal free copy.

The whole process for installing the game was weird and stupid anyway, and I didn't want to mess with that store anymore so I uninstalled the game. I'll get it from GOG someday I guess!

*Seriously, look at this stuff!

Well at least they didn't mess up with Russian :P No idea why they ruined Spanish for you though, as I assume you could use it.

It's like mariokart but without those characters, and it has trading cards you can sell. Up to you, really.
