Wanted to get the Free Shadows Awakening just now and it said "it worked" but for some reason it isnt showing up in my library.

I looked around and saw it in my "open orders" with a price of 0. Tried to click through this and suddenly it said "9,99€"

Because of that i clicked it away, deleting this order and hoping it works. But the giveaway still says "it worked" and even if i click on the store page of the game itself, it just puts me back to the gog main site and shows me the giveaway there, still saying "it worked"

Also tried to log off / in again, while beeing clicked on the "claim free game" button, but nothing happens.

Really hope there is a fix for this, because i really like this game, played it back then on my PS4 and getting it DRM free and even more so free to begin with, is even cooler.

Also Contacted the support, but i dont know if they work on weekends, so i thought i also post this here.

I also got the "game added to library" site, after claiming it. But then i clicked on the back arrow on my browser and not on the gog icon, because i wanted to get back to the main site to browse the store, thats why gog thinks it got added but at the same time, it didnt or so.
Might also be the reason why it thinks it's an "open order".

Any chance you own "Shadows: Heretic Kingdom" and therefore received "Shadows: Awakening" for free in August 2018?

Because then it won't show up on first place in your account. I had the same (I guess, it's the same).
Simply search for it.

I thought about this, it probably has something to do, with me closing the tab/going back, after i claimed the game, i mean i also got the "game added to library" site, but this might be the reason why it also said "open order".

Well, if the issue doesn't resolve itself within a few hours (as these GA issues usually do), I'm sure support will help you.

Did you receive the "Free items added to your GOG.com library." confirmation email?

For me the game redemption worked as expected and also the email arrived a bit later.

Nop, now that you say it. I didn't even got the mail. But i cant claim the game anymore, because the game window sends me back to the main page and the button there is mising because it says "it worked".

You can just try again tomorrow. I had the same issue when GOG gave away Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War. It said I'd claimed it, but nothing showed up in the library, order history or mail. The day after I could just claim it again normally from the front page.
You can keep your support ticket open just in case it doesn't work. You probably won't hear from support by tomorrow anyway.

That wouldn't do anything. You've already claimed it, which means that you can't accidentally unclaim it just by hitting the back button. Once you claim it, the game is part of your library....

However sometimes it shows up immediately and if the site is busier than normal in terms of traffic, then it can take some time to show up in your library. Since I'm always having to refresh my account with Epic on free game day to make newly claimed games show up, I did a search and found that there is a way to manually refresh your account with GOG also -

https://www.gog.com/user/refresh

If that doesn't work, try again in a few hours and if not - I'd contact support. You can also make sure that the game is actually showing up in your order history as even free games that you just claimed will show up.

At the same time, not beeing able to press the claim button anymore, renders it impossible for me to get it anymore. And because the order got changed from 0€ in my open orders, to 9,99€ i tried removing the order and trying it again, but this also didnt work, again because the button for claiming is missing and saying i already claimed.

Never seen such a stuff, but it sure is confusing.
Have my hopes up for my support ticket to fix things.

Don't worry - you're not "losing out" on the freebie.
Since you filed a report with support already, you'll get your free game.

In the worst case scenario, it'll take until after the weekend, when the responsible GOG staffers are back in office.
But your report (and its time stamp) are proof for the legitimacy of your claim.

What no doubt happened there, was you opened the order again, and because you already own the game and cannot get another free copy, you see the usual price.

Did you try the refresh link that was provided?
That usually fixes your library for games that aren't showing up.

Yep, tried the link already.

And im on my Browser, i also tried it via galaxy.

Support answerd me, but their advice didnt help either, so i hope the answer me again, soon.


Anyway, still thanks for all the replys i got and the help, even tho i need to wait for support in the end.
