As I've been spoiled by a "moderator" post, I've sent a formal complaint about it.
Not even sure if I used the right channel, but here is a few lines I wrote.

===========================================================

I'd like to highlight a general lack of respect from forum moderators towards the community.
In particular "Linko90".

I expect a moderator to "moderate" the forums from abusing the space and breaking the policies, not having pun of customer's posts, even if they appear nonsensical, from a moderator point of view.

This is an example: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_10th_anniversary_sale_is_here/post113

Moderator are NOT part of the community. They represent the business, GOG, and they should act accordingly.
I don't know if these are full time employee or else, but this episode of poor professionalism, made me considering if GOG is a relevant place where to spend my money and time.

Exactly my thoughts when FCKDRM started.
No No No

He's a gamer, it's a gaming forum.

If he has something to offer on a game or something to add to a game related discussion, let him.

So far, all the people I've seen who claim to have problems with the moderation, were all people who had an axe of some sort to grind.

Maybe if people just followed along the forum rules and didn't start futile arguments with Linko90, or would refrain from setting up mocking threads, their "problems" with the moderation would stop, too?

I have yet to encounter a negative experience with Linko90 (or any other blue GOGger)...I wonder why that may be.

Dude's not just some random mod, he's the community manager.

That "lack of respect" is entirely on your side. You're whining due a very generous giveaway since you've bought the game already, so what? "Fake vote", really? Sounds like a proper conspiracy theory to me. That "formal complaint" of yours is childish and I hope GOG will do the only right thing with it: to ignore it. They definitly shoudn't "act accordingly", they should laugh about your lifely fantasy. Feel free to vote me down, I don't care about. I'm tired of all those recent overreactions here. Only a few users try hard to give feedback in a civilized manner instead of raging.

See attached.

EDIT: ...Was this interpreted as negative towards Linko? Strange that it joined the anti-Linko posts in downvoteville.

Unfortunately I've seen more than one poor moderator attitude around.
Mine example was only to show.

GOG can ignore me, for sure, but the lack of professionalism remains.

Also, can care less to down vote anyone.... go figure.

Mods are part of community and at the same time they represent GOG.
I don't understand why do you feel offended by X-Files music, you think it too strongly underlines ridiculousness of your statement?

I acutally like what Linko90 is doing. At least he's reading the forum and keeping it in control. :) And he's a gamer too so he should be able to participate imho.

It isn't a personal thing, but both linked examples (your's and the other one) in this thread are no reason to complain in my eyes. I mean, if you're speaking from a "fake vote", you basically insinuate fraud. Seems very unrealistic and exaggerated to me. Wasn't the X-Files reply from Linko not much more than a winking joke? Are you really think that's a reason for an official complaint?

*X-Files music plays*
WTF? If that is your idea of disrespectful demeanour, then you are due a few shocks in real life. Seriously, stop whining about nothing and get a grip.

Hear hear. People just use overreacting as a tool. It draws attention to what they are saying because they know that it would be immediately dismissed otherwise.

It is unfortunately a tool that works well these days...
