my name is coole catte: It really does feel like a reach for Vitek to bring it up, particularly to put it as more likely than a redirector (which isn't a particularly crazy idea in a role madness game).
You may be surprised but when someone says somethign I know is not true, my first thought at that moment is they are lying scum and that is naturally followed by searching for explanation why they would lie at that moment and this is what came to mind.
Only then came the thoughts of other possible reasons for it to happen.

I am backup role. I suppose I could say what role it is and they could admit they exist but that would be up to them to consider if they find it worth it.

Hmmmmmmmm.

I can certainly see the reasoning behind going "Aha, they must be scum", it's just that concluding a 3 person mafia team is more likely than a redirector is kind of odd.

I get it will look like OMGUS a lot now but I was feling funny about ZFR before so don't let him off the hook if the game continues.

Yeah, well, fortunately I know a way to prove it and end it.

I know he can't be backup gunsmith, because I'm a universal backup. And I did breadcrumb it:
