Also curious how you make sure it remains balanced with what people pick. Now go tell that dick to sign up. And make sure you notify those on the "players to be contacted" list, the guy on spot #11 in particular.

I would assume it won't be. For example, a townie might pick strongman as a defensive move and get lynched over it; a mafia might take vanillaiser and be a bit OP since they have a day action and are still free to do the kill.

By it's nature it's semi-open and yet pretty unpredictable. I will say, though, that it seems to lack the extra roles that made the original game really hard for mafia to win tactically (A role that was NK-proof, plus a randomly won resurrection power).

It could be balanced...enough...to be entertaining. I guess I wouldn't expect it ultimately to be any more/less balanced that half of the closed scenarios we toss around here. ;)

No it’s the night phase and any action the next day phase. If the person blocked has no day action then nothing happens.

Where are you getting 48 hours from then?

If I had gone with the closed setup I would have made sure it was balanced. This setup, as I have implied, will have lots of confusion, and confusion can be fun ;-)
