I already told you the answer.

I know seeding cop results in the morning isn't popular round here no more, but it was fun!

Bookwyrm627: Then I guess the game is won. (For who?)

Dedo and you would have been among my top priorities. Neither of you are likely to buy any BS I try to peddle for long.
avatar
yogsloth: Yeah, sweet.

I'll let the wolves twist in the wind for a while.

In the meantime...

NOBODY ROLE CLAIM

Y'all let me go first when the time comes, ok?
Yeah. Ok.

Guess it's just pride that makes you assume mafia-aligned-bookwyrm and mafia-aligned-flubbucket would spend their whole game fixated on you?

I am excited to see where you're going with this though. Suspense is exciting.

Only I hate waiting. Kills me!
ummmm

YOGISOK

oh

yog is OK

oh good

what a relief

on a side note, a massive thunderstorm just rolled in

yes, to fucking Southern California in May

And I'm seriously expecting the power to go out any minute
Well, I'm a prophet, because seconds after I posted that the power went kafut

We're back up for the moment though

Nothing like an absolutely deafening thunderstorm outside

....

@Joe, where's your breadcrumb for Korotan's results

....

@wyrm - what are you thinking, my dude
I love it!

JoeSapphire: K, that's not great. On the other hand tracker isn't the most powerful investigator, and as Dedo says now we don't have to have a whole thing about his "oh no I forgot to vote" thing.

Right now I'm worrying about Flub and Yogsloth. OverNight I was chatting to Trent about vanilla-confirming-vanillas and he said something which made me think I'd got the wrong end of the stick with what happened there:
Fellas, would it be a terrible idea for you to explain what went on? I was trying to let it go by without questioning yesterday, because I didn't want to give away more info than was necessary. Now after what Trent told me, I wish I'd pushed it further yesterDay. Everybody else - are you seeing something I'm missing there?
ummm

KOROFINE

We'll, I'll be darned
avatar
flubbucket:
Is Yogsloth right? would you refuse to claim if pushed?

@Yogsloth - Does that mean that you don't think it's a good idea to reveal flubbucket's role too?

You never told me what you meant by "I think the mafia nabbed the cop." What did you mean?

I thought you'd never ask! Where else would they be? (Why aren't I your dude? D; Or at least your something!)

Oh hey you found it! :D

I'm considering how things slot together, and I'm letting you guys talk. Also, I've got somewhere to be in less than an hour, and I'll be stuck doing things probably for most of the RL night.

If anyone else wants to talk or supply the thing(s) I'm missing, please do so. I look forward to seeing what else might come up.

What else who might some up with? Couldn't decide?

I'm going home to bed, too. Clear skies where I am so I got a nice walk back. Hope you're somewhere warm and dry Yogsloth! (Or you got a warm towel ready for you if you need to be outside in it! :) )

Night all, see you tomorrow
OK, I've really got to ask about flub now.

So, same question dedo asked me? Does "X" automatically make him Town.

Looking at the role list, the only one I can see that would make you think him Town automatically is Doctor?
And I suppose Doc is more locktown than Cop.

You never told me what you meant by "I think the mafia nabbed the cop." What did you mean?
Yeah, no need for flub to claim his role or actions. We need him, and I want to WIFOM the mafia into wondering how important his role is.

And it was just a hunch that mafia had grabbed the cop role and would use it as their only reasonable defense against my play.

HOWEVER

You just threw a major spanner in the works

There is zero reason for you to have planted such a huge breadcrumb on a scum-read Korotan D2 or my scummy ass D3 as mafia, to clear us both

If you die an flip "Mafia Cop" then we'd know nothing you said mattered

But if you died and flip "Town Cop" then we'd all be hunting for your peeks... and I like to think we'd have stood a decent chance of finding those... and there's just no reason to do that as mafia

Which makes me happy, because somebody is playing really well then

hmmmmmmmmmm
OK, since Joe's reveal has upset my apple cart, I'll put the rest out there

wyrm is One-shot Vilgilante

Which is potentially bad news, because if he's mafia, that gives them double killing power

BUT his shot can be Day, which means he could wing one out there right now... which means we can talk about it

hmmm

I'm actually quite pleased this got harder than I thought it was going to be

OK. I'll trust that if you're Town you did ask yourself the question anyway. If you're not Town then what you'd say doesn't matter anyway.

yogsloth: Joe

There's nothing left to wait for my bruv

Time to pop those results

And I bid 13 / 3
that was 13 as your primary and 3 as tiebreaker?

If possible, please respond quickly, as I have to run very soon. Once-a-year company comes in the morning, which means...cleaning! [ugh]
avatar
Bookwyrm627: Everyone but Micro has shown up, however briefly. Show us your magic.
DID SOMEONE SAY MAGIC?!

Correct. 13 primary, 3 tiebreaker.
Thanks! Okay, the claim formula reads as follows:
avatar
trentonlf: In this game, all roles are bid upon by the players. To determine the bidding order, all players choose two numbers between 1 and 20. The first is the primary number; the second is only used for tiebreakers.

The person who chose the lowest number will have first pick of roles, with subsequent people choosing as you go higher in the numbers.

However, if any number is chosen by multiple people, then they will choose a role after all single number picks have chosen. Lower numbers are better, but singles will always beat out duplicates, which beat out triplicates, etc. If the tiebreaker numbers are equal as well, then time of submission is used as the final tiebreaker.

In a nutshell: The goal is to choose the lowest numbers you can, but also avoid picking any number that any other person has picked. The better you do, the sooner you get to pick a role.

Each player gets one pick.

Players do not know what roles have been picked ahead of them. No role may be duplicated. If a role is chosen which has already been chosen by someone with higher priority, they are then assigned a vanilla role.
Does this mean that
1) if two people bid "Doc", and both bid "5", the lower tiebreaker goes first, or does it mean
2) if two people bid "5", they pick after the one person who bid "6", even though all 3 bid for different roles?
