Bookwyrm627:
I don't think it has anything to do with resurrection and merely has to do with you creating reasons to hunt a coroner for the no flip you knew was coming.

avatar
Bookwyrm627: I didn't ask for a hard claim, though it would have been somewhat implied by an answer of "Yes" to my question (can a JOAT have a 1x Coroner ability?). I didn't negate the other possibilities I think are most likely. I DID ask about a piece of information that I consider to be rather important to town.

I don't know his alignment; I'm not up to his level when it comes to messing with people's heads (and surviving) and I know it. If town, then Yog laid out his soft claim and I expect he's prepared (or hopes he's prepared) to deal with the consequences. If he's scum, then I think locking him into a role claim is good for town.

Ixamyakxim: "I'm not looking for a hard claim... but I am."

Bookwyrm627: *face palm*

bler144: Anyway, while I have both you and wyrm as "neutral to leaning scum" I do find your questions of him more suspicious than I find his answers to me, which at least generally are pretty reasonable .
bler I'd almost be a bit more concerned about you based on that quote, but I've had you leaning okay in my book. If you think Bookwyrm's explanation above is reasonable for me calling him out on "not asking for a hard claim" why don't you go back and review where he stood on P1na and where I did.

It's why I'm not as worried about you and Bookwyrm being buddies.

yogsloth: This is slipping away due to analysis paralysis and coordinated distraction. Good job, Scum.
I agree - am I totally off base in suspecting Boowyrm? I admit I'm locked in hard on him here (to the detriment of other options) but for something I think is very solid.
You sure talked a lot since last night, I have over two pages to catch up, and that's on the 50p/pg setting.
Guess I better get to it as I'm sure you won't stop talking while I do.

No, I'm right there with you. I'm mulling over a general plan that would be a bit risky and crazy. (So, totally out of character for me, I know, you'd just have to bear with me.) But we have to start by horse-trading a bit to take them out one at a time.

There just probably aren't going to be enough votes for Wyrm today though - too many indecisive types who haven't met their hem and haw requirements to do so.

If you think adalia and Wyrm are buddies, we have to hit adalia today and save Wyrm for tomorrow.

Lady and gentlemen, I present to you the Wizard's First Rule in action.

Just for kicks, I want to present a different option. You discussed with your scum buddies about who to go after on Day 2, and you were given the task of trying to frame me after your team's Janitor cleans up the kill. Wyrm asked whether there was a coroner, so clearly he must have known something about it in advance, right?

Do you think there are going to be any (where any is more than 2-3) at all? Is there something I'm missing here?

I got 4½ books into that and gave up. Could't take the stupid anymore.

I think if you're patient, you're going to see the Yog-train come thundering down the line, ready to carry everyone off to Grand Yog Station for a victory parade.

I thought his chef cap image from last game looked more like a conductor's hat, myself.

Let's be real, OK? Leonard ain't goin' down. Neither are you. Neither am I. Anybody else even have a vote right now? You think Wyrm is getting lynched?

We're all just futzing around wasting time right now. You think I'm "in a rush must be SCUM"? Mesa no care. adalia's neck is in the noose, he's standing on the stool, and we're all just awkwardly standing around looking at our wristwatches waiting to see who's going to give the kick.

There's no more night actions to report. No more sudden revelations coming. If he flips "Town Vanilla", sure I'll look pretty bad. But I dinna care at this point. This Day's pretty much all over except for the cryin'. We can paralyze ourselves into an utter stupor trying to analyze every little wing ding anybody's ever said.

Or we can just goddamn do it already.

You got me - my first wizard scum trick was to implant your mind with a search for coroner during the first day. And then to really seal the deal and make you look bad, compel you not to vote for your scumbuddy P1na.

To really hammer it home, however we also discussed how, after your OMGUS vote I'd sit on your dead wagon and scream to heaven to have you lynched, while totally avoiding pushing on adalia - who has a wagon consisting largely of the same people who lynched scum yesterday (townie or town aligned, who I believe are mistaken in this case).

You foiled our plan.

Oh hey, guess what just came in the mail!

Heh.

Why would he flip Town Vanilla? I mean he could, I guess, but why exactly that and not something else Town?

No joke - I'm trying to check in during short work breaks and it's probably doing more harm than good. Think it's making me more confused and (more than usual) I'm not sure what I'm typing is making sense.

Like the phrase "I should have refreshed" above when very clearly I did refresh because I talked about the post I saw when I refreshed. I made no sense. And running off to an appt now.

Happy to do so. Please link/cite a specific post. I did read your accusation on this point above and thought it had a logical flaw, but I addressed the "coroner" point instead.

There is some irony in this, given that you were on the wagon but threw out something about dedo. Who apparently I do need to re-read since I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Wyrm is off my list for today, but I'm down to 2 votes atm, and adalia is one of them.

And...late getting out the door. Dammit.

Is that not clearly what he's been building up to?

Is it? I'm starting to miss a lot of things, it seems. Maybe I need to go a bit back and refresh my memory.
