Checking in again, not really helpful. Will have to take a second look at day one, but can't really say that anyone had popped out as too scummy.
Then again, when have my reads been right?

Somewhere a nameless town doctor is turning over in his grave.

Agreed. She had it coming, though.
So far on Day 2, I don't see anything too suspicious besides that comment from Bookwyrm I've already commented on. I'm still suspicious of drealmer from the last round, but he hasn't said anything I find suspicious this round. I can't really get a read on anyone else yet, so these are my two suspects.

May I suggest placing a vote? Yes. Yes I may.

On who I think should be lynched? I think it's a bit early for me to do so. I don't have strong suspicious feelings on anyone at the moment, so I'm going to wait to see how other people post. What's the rush?

Pretend that every thinks "so I'm going to wait to see how other people post". Follow that to its logical conclusion.

docbear1975: You could be onto something. The most likely candidates then would be Agent, drealmer, JMich, and flubbucket.

Some interesting ideas are floating around, and they're over my head.
avatar
Dessimu: Please do share those ideas when and if you finally catch them.
Trust me, when I do catch them, I will share. Right now, I got nothing except my gut instincts. Which is not enough to go go on.

There is a deadline. It's not imminent but it's there. Just sayin' :)

You may have to, eventually. Sometimes this game comes down to deciding which gut instincts to trust.

-----

I notice that J "Man With a Plan" Mich hasn't had much to say thus far on D2. He's mentioned schedule issues, and most recently submitted a plea about how he doesn't get reads right anyway. Need to review what he's added beyond said plan and semantics arguments.

Agent promised Walls of Text on D1 while catching up. Either he is bad at WoT, or he doesn't quite know the meaning. Or he had less to say than anticipated.

Drealmer's stance change-up has already been pointed out. I noticed that near the end of D1, he also came around pretty easily to CL+1 as a possible game start. Bears monitoring.

I still can't read Flub worth a boop. He seems to be contributing a little bit, at least at some level. He has indicated rereads he plans to perform, but hasn't revealed any conclusions or thoughts acquired by those rereads. Reminds me of JMich in this regard.

Cristigale has been very quiet. Too quiet?

I keep getting Docbear and Fantasy mixed up in my head. Really need to go back and sort out which one held what opinions.

Ix. What to do about Ix...

Dessimu. Yep, he's the vig alright.

I know this doesn't help much, but if I were CL and started the game alone, I'd firmly hold the stance of it being me +1 and try to get town to think that as well (without drawing suspicion that that is what I'd be doing), all Day, if I were a CL and started the game with 1 follower (or was the follower of the CL), I'd firmly hold the stance of it being likely only the CL to start. Uncertainty often reads townie, to me, unless it seems fabricated. Of course, you should be monitoring everyone, and I don't hold that against you. I do lean more towards it started with just the CL currently (forgot about the vigilante factor when I did that initially, which is why I came back and was like "ooops I forgot.")

I really don't see any new information coming to light, and think we should get on with the voting so we can read all of that, because, as said yesterday, it's allows for drastic changes in stance that we are looking for to be read and interpreted.

yes, voting for who you think is most likely CL would be good and very pro-town - DO IT!
Nothing serious here. But this is how I imagine CL and those cultists.

Vote count bananas

By bananas I mean please. And by vote count I meant the count of votes. Current one would be the best.

Thank you!
Did somebody mention bananas? Although I'm more in the mood for watermelon and grapes, maybe even a clementine.

Well, I am going to go ahead and cast a vote. This vote is based on my gut instinct, and that is the only rationale I can give at this point.

*takes deep breath*

Vote: flubbucket

Dessimu: I have a bit of time now to post something more, but I don't have anything important or very new to say.

As per special rules about DP, fact that only Babark died tonight, Bookwyrm must have deprogrammed simple town player. For us to draw better conclusions, we would have to know not only Bookwyrm's target, but also what response he got after the night ended. However, knowing those two things publicly would put CL into much better position, for (s)he would be able to plan recruitment actions better. We don't want that, we don't need that.
(emphasis added)

Not necessarily. It's most likely Bookwyrm chose town (could have been the tracker, could have been you but I doubt it). He also could have neutralized the CL or the CL and he could have chosen the same target. If one of the first two options occurred, it sounds like Bookwyrm doesn't know which one.

@Bookywrym - is that correct?

Also can you clarify something...do you receive a failure message if both you and the CL choose the same target?

I see both this: "The Deprogrammer doesn't get a nightly feedback on the success or failure of his power. He just has to see and interpret the results in the morning"
and this in the OP: "If both target the same player at night, they will cancel each other out and both get failure messages."

If the latter is true:
Is there a reason to keep to yourself if you and the CL chose the same night target? Unless I'm missing something, this seems like the one time revealing your actions would benefit town and not give the cult additional information. You both know the mutual target from the past Night.

If the latter is false, then the above does not apply.
