I dont know why gog keeps doing stuff that their customers dont want , this place will soon be a cesspool of games like steam , where no new release is going to create the joy it used to bring like before. There was a reason why good old games had a meaning you could expect proper good classics everything was simple , i guess that era is gone i am sure most people even already forgot the classic lucasarts games that were released recently it must have gotten drowned with constant new releases thanks to giving up on the original ideals , imagine the impact it would have when gog was Good old games.

To keep it short. All this stuff just let to one result. I don't trust gog anymore.
I am still here because games are drm-free for the moment, and still at the forums because of the people here. But there is no longer trust for gog do to the things right and every announcement I see is like "Oh no, what did they break this time".

So what happened is that russian people get cheaper games, but the flat pricing for a lot of games is still there for Euro and USD? I looked at Age of Wonders 1 and it's the same as one of the examples you showed.

I doubt we're even perceived as a tiny bit of annoyance given that we voice our concerns in here, and as IAmSinistar said, many of their users don't follow or even know the forum exist.

It would be a completely different ballgame if we took to their social media platforms, but given the mentality there, I'm sure there would be plenty of knights eager to defend GOG's every single decision and change, and to shut us up.
One can already see that here when we post in announcement and release threads that are a lot more visible. It probably suits GOG just fine that we create this kind of threads and mostly post in here; keeps things nicely contained, and hassle free for them on the rest of the board.

Yeah. I did post on Fb a few times though, after unliking the page (for the 2nd time) I mean, and it didn't seem to do much. If it'd have gotten a reaction, I assume it'd have been of the sort you mention, yes.

Sounds like you were a lone voice in the wilderness; I'm sorry to say that that's what GOG counts on.

Actually, us complaining here and in other threads won't change anything, I think that's for sure.
I always thought of it as some sort of reminder, not only reminding GOG.com that there are a few people who are really unhappy with regional pricing (and more), but also reassuring each other that they're not alone.

By now I expect this threads to die with time, until GOG.com has changed so much for the worse, that many of us will have left long ago. The introduction of DRM, or an enforced client after all, could cause something like that.

And we're not talking distant future here, I'm very close to leaving already, only a faint hope and you guys keep me here for now.

I may be wrong, but I believe this is the first time that a blue has publicly admitted the obvious, that the only reason the Commandos titles were regionally banned was in order to allow for a German-language GOG. At least this may disprove the comments of "some conspiracy theorists" that thought that the German government putting pressure on GOG had something to do with it.

I kind of feel bad for the French. The addition of their language was the only one not accompanied with any "good news" that I remember.

In order to affect change in the industry you need to be a fairly large and significant voice. By all accounts in the grand scheme of things, GoG is not. And as others have mentioned, it's probably even a minority of that group that cares so much when it comes to regional pricing. So then it becomes a business decision. A lot of users on this forum want GoG to continue to play the little guy, the underdog who can take down goliath, but being in that role is not business viable when you choose you put yourself on an island and yet still want to be taken seriously when it comes to matters like regional pricing and even DRM-Free.

I've said many times, believing in a cause (DRM-Free, flat pricing) is a noble thing but it's only effective when your big enough to where someone is listening to you. The average gamer doesn't really give half a damn about flat pricing and DRM-Free not matter how much preaching you want to do . They just want to enjoy their hobby and play their games.
