The remaster is titled Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. Coming in 2017, only for the PS4, although history tells us a PC version should come six months later.

It will be based on the International Zodiac Job System version, which was only released in Asia, that features different license boards for each zodiac sign corresponding to a specific job, a trial mode where you fight 100 consecutive battles, a turbo mode, among other small changes from the base version.

This remastered version claims to have an enhanced turbo mode, autosaves, improved loading times and textures across the board, and a remastered soundtrack, which may be switched for the old version if you prefer. There will be a playable version of it on E3, so keep an eye out for it if you're wondering how it will turn out.

I played this one when I was still pretty young, and didn't know much english, so while intrigued by it I had no idea what I was doing. Always figured I should give it another chance now that I'm older but, of course, I never got around to it. Maybe this is the chance.

If anything I know Elmofongo is probably gonna go crazy over this one.
I honestly thought Elmofongo was going to post a thread about this.

Eh, I'll probably get this version since it has dual audio.

Well, I'm the guy who usually posts these "X game was announced/is coming to PC" threads, so I won't let myself be so easily beaten to the punch.

Nice. I wanted to play this version for a while, I remember reading that it fixed/changed some of the things I didn't like about the western release of the game.

Think FF12 is the only single player FF game I've never completed, my save file got corrupt somehow and the game continuously froze on one cut scene about three quarters of the way through the game. Couldn't bring myself to go back through it all the way.
Ohh I am not familiar with the XII after all these years; i will enjoy playing this again. The international version changes seems significant enough; what a gorgeous teaser!!

Bouchart: When do we get Mystic Quest Remastered?
after they are done remastering their complete library
yes including rad racer
Hmm, if this does come to PC I may just have to get it, Steam only or not. I loved what little I played of FF XII and would really like to play the whole thing properly.

DaCostaBR: although history tells us a PC version should come six months later.
Unless there is still an effective exclusivity agreement for FF12 in general, a PC version is pretty likely, although six months is mighty optimistic. It took over two years for FF10, four years for FF13, over three for FF13-2, and either or three years for FF3 (depends on whether you consider the DS or iOS version to be the progenitor there - PC ports of Final Fantasy games are either from PS3, PS4 or mobile).

My guess is a PC version in 2019.

Well, there was a European release called Mystic Quest Legend. (Of course, that was just the European release of Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest; Mystic Quest was Final Fantasy Adventure, to my understanding, which isn't even the same type of game in the first place. You are in a maze of twisty video game titles, all different (for the same game).)
I absolutely love this game. Probably one of my favorites of all time.

Anyone who hasn't ever checked this one out should certainly be interested in this remake!

Final Fantasy Adventure was a Seiken Densetsu (Mana series) title released for Game Boy. Mystic Quest was developed for US audiences as a RPG-lite due to low sales of previous titles. The game was developed in similar style to the Final Fantasy Legend games (originally the SaGa series in Japan). The game was meant to be a "my first jRPG" because the developers saw Americans as not smart enough to "get" their games.
