Huh? What happened? Thought they are the good guys.
Well, its better at least in the sense that its been released...
Very cool thanks
I have a question.

If FNV is installed on say ''C Drive" and I install again on "D Drive'' will Fallout Mod Manager recognize this or not.I don't think it's possible for FMM to differentiate between the two installations.I also think changing the names will make it worse and I ask this because FNV on ''C'' is very big (modded) and with TTW and it would be such a pain to reinstall it again.Anyhow,one way to find out later is just try it.

You should be able to have multiple copies of the install with different mods:

Not sure why you would need to though, can you not just enable/disable in your mod manager?

Thanks,sure I can disable mods but it may cause a bug to FMM and as you may know with this game bugs are everywhere.I prefer to have two separate installations as a lot of mods still get confused and don't always cut out when disabled as I have found out with TTW.

Why are people upset with the nexus? Was it over the loverslab/censorship thing or something else? I use it every now and then for my mods, but i noticed that some classic "essentials" are missing here and there.

Because they're the "Steam" of modding sites. People possibly don't like them for other reasons. I don't dislike them at all personally.

My understanding that the main attraction for steam is DRM (which means titles you want that aren't DRM free), which Nexus doesn't have. Too mainstream? Can't be the lack of curation, as the only mod site that i've seen (at least for TES, anyway) that had any level of curation was, ultimately, Loverslabs and, technically, Nexus at one point. I really wouldn't call either curation, but it's the closest i've seen.
Search on Google
People who hate the Nexus mods websites you can look on google.com for other websites that got mods uploaded, like moddb.com, etc.

Not really. I think it's more the whole setup. I actually prefer moddb, not sure why exactly, although the having to login to nexus to download files is annoying. Don't really like the interface either, moddb isn't great but is quite easy to ring things. Nexus has grown a lot over time, but back when there were a lot more and better mods on other sites. The nexus mod manager wasn't great either. There is always the background thoughts that that will be GOGs workshop interface shortly.

No because the owner needs certification, the guys a fruitloop and so are his moderators Like once this guy said

that his "Copy" of oblivion wasn't playing nice with a mod file

and one of his Moderators accused the guy of being a pirate and banned him I'm deadly serious.

One guy was banned for mentioning Console Modding making custom console modifications to the casings and putting in fans to keep the components cool and stuff.

Also read this I know I know it on Shteam but read it.

User had account only for 4 hours

and here is a Post by a guy on a different forum

ItsTheSasquatch 5 years ago

I used to actively watch the board where the mods posted who they'd banned, why, and then gloated about it. Then I stopped, because it was upsetting me to an unhealthy degree.

The ones that upset me the most were the bans on people who so much as dared to question the ethics of DRM, or expressed any opinions toward piracy other than "DIE PIRATE DIE" (I actually saw several mods post those exact words when banning someone just for being opposed to DRM).

Then there were the cases where people were banned for asking why other people were banned. Not even joking.

As if that didn't make me hate them enough, their site's security was so poor that they got hacked a few years back, and everyone's signup emails were stolen and sold to spammers (I still get ~10 spam messages per day--pretty bad stuff, too--despite getting no spam previously).

Too bad that hacker couldn't get a list of names and addresses for their moderation staff--losing their anonymity would be the best thing that could happen to the site.

Then I got banned there for **/No reason given/** well for being in chat and saying hi to the site owner

that was all I did all I said was

\me: \Hi nice site you've been working on.
\darkOne: \LOL

}User: fr33kSh0w2012: Banned from chat{
}User: fr33kSh0w2012: Banned from the forums{
}User: fr33kSh0w2012: IP ban{

So yeah they can go and Shove their site as far as I'm concerned.

Can't wait until GOG has their own Workshop.
