In case you’ve missed the news, we wanted to remind you that Worms World Party Remastered will be coming to GOG.com on July 8th!

To celebrate, we’re hosting a Worms-themed Facebook contest for those that love the title and want to get a little social! Below you’ll find more info about the contest and some more detailed rules.

HOW TO ENTER:

Go to the Facebook contest post on our page. Under the post, leave a one-sentence comment telling us what your winning strategy is when playing Worms. Entering the contest means that you agree to its’ rules, so keep reading!

HOW TO WIN:

There will be multiple winners, but we expect even more entries - and we want you to be the judges as well! Your likes and comments under entrants’ suggestions will play a part in making the final choice of who gets the prize - it won’t be just our standard GOG.com jury making the call this time. :)

THE PRIZES:

Winners will each get:
-- A Worms plushie,
-- Worms World Party Remastered on GOG.com as soon as it comes out,
-- 3 GOG.com game codes worth $9.99 each

As always, we also reserve the right to award many honorable mentions!

Should you be chosen as the winner, we will comment on your comment asking you to provide your GOG.com username to contact you regarding your prize, so do watch those notifications ;)

SOME MORE RULES:

1. Make sure you comment on the Facebook contest post, not elsewhere.
2. Make you comment within 24 hours of our post - you have time until June 17th at 10:30 AM GMT (that’s 12:30am CET / 6:30am EDT / 3:30am PDT / 8:30pm AEDT).
3. Only leave one entry comment - if you leave more ideas, they won’t be counted, as we won’t know which one to pick!
4. We will choose winners based on the amount of positive feedback on their ideas (likes/further comments) and the votes of our jury - so even if you don’t wish to enter, you can get in on the winner-picking!
4. When entering the contest, you have a chance of winning - then, you’ll need to provide us your GOG.com username, and following that, your postal address, phone number, and name and surname so that we can send you your prize. If you win and do not provide this full set of information within a week of our email request, we’ll have no way to get your prize to you!

Hey, are you an active member of the GOG community? Do you buy a lot of games from GOG? Well good for you, asshole, but it's all about twitter and facebook now, so you ain't getting squat. Stand aside and watch the social media crowd win stuff, peasant.

Sorry if you're feeling this bitter about our social media crowd - but this is exactly why this post was made, to let the forum users know as well about an event they may have otherwise missed :)

And similarly, I apologise if the previous contests that were forum-only were not visible enough - like the Serpent in the Staglands joke contest, or Broken Age's Next Great Hero, or "Your Great Escape" in The Escapists, or the Pick-a-loop one... Or numerous other ones (8+ in the past 6 months, I believe) that were forum-only.

If you feel that we're putting social media above the forums by letting forum users know about a social media contest, then I'd just like to point out how we've also posted on social media about forum-only contests - it's simply the principle of trying to keep everyone informed of what's up in the community.

Finally, no one is saying that you can't open Facebook and join in - just because you're a forum user, doesn't mean you can't enter a contest on social media :)
But but but.... nobody will take me serious if I use something main stream like Facebook. Hang on, maybe if I grow a beard and wear a scarf I can get facebook ironically.

Oh the angst of trying to keep a certain image of myself online where people take me as seriously as I take myself.

I can't because I hate social media :) Sorry if I come off to mean, I just really hate social media and how you can't opent the fridge in todays world without some kind of "follow me on twitter, like me on facebook" thing jumping at you. In honesty, I appreciate that you guys are doing all those contests. It's just me being cantankerous I guess.

Though there is a certain unfair element to it, when an outside account that some of us just don't want to make is required to participate in a contest.

Argh, missed it as I tought it was an "in-forum" contest. Next Twitter contest should be better tagged in the thread title (like this one....)
I would kill (worms) for a genuine Worms plushie. Well, I just have to hope they pick my comment despite not knowing the username behind it.

I think the "problem" here is that normally gog users have a gog account so forum contests are open to everyone. Whereas for Social Media contests an extra account is required ;-)

I am not into facebook at all and I completely get your point, but for the sake of preserving the joyful spirit going on around here, I wouldn't dare make a 'ranty' first post in a contest thread, that really comes out harsh.
Just saying.
