HypersomniacLive: Sharks are a fascinating species, have watched countless documentaries on them, but have never seen one live. As someone with sensitive teeth, I've always envied their ability to grow new ones whenever needed.
I love the water, but have never swum in an ocean.
Ah I have seen many of them. I'll never forget my grandfather's story of fending off a Bull shark in a river that connected to the sea. They were in a little wooden boat and had to fight it off with an oar. I've seen quite a few sharks, and really loved grey nurses (very passive), hammerheads (one on my uncle's fishing boat as a child), (so gorgeous) and have handled and patted a few [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Jackson_shark]Port Jackson sharks. I remember putting at least 2 beached Port Jackson sharks back in the water when I was a child. I've always had a love and fascination of other species, especially some of the amazing ones found in this country :)
Interesting, I never knew the shark family includes such forms.
I've never seen any shark in my life, but I didn't get around very much anyway.

Tarnicus: Massive improvement

Improvement 2

Now can anyone help me to figure out how to grow back some of those teeth? :P

Things I learned:

1/ Always get a second or third or 500th opinion if I feel that I am not getting adequate treatment.

2/ Write down everything beforehand, so when I am in an adrenal fuelled state due to White coat hypertension, I can still communicate my needs. Be firm and assertive rather than aggressive or relieved to get out of the clinic/hospital ASAP.

3/ Continue to listen to my own senses and combine that with research and advice. If it "feels wrong" it seems to be the majority of the time. I won't use hyperbole as I am prone to and say 100% of the time but I know my own body and mind very well.

4/ Use natural medicines in conjunction with orthodox medicines where appropriate. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Generally I find bringing the body and mind into balance slowly with diet, exercise and herbs, is the best way to treat chronic diseases. Orthodox or pharmaceutical medicines ALWAYS contain side effects but are very effective treatments for crisis situations.

Thanks to everyone who responded here and via PM. I am sending you a PM ShadowWulfe with a little thank you offer. Your advice was very helpful :)
Glad to hear you're feeling better, and a very good summary of what everyone needs to do in a situation like yours!

Check out this prehistoric shark unfortunately fished up in Australia earlier this year to get an idea of how diverse they can be.

Oh dear, I've watched so many deep sea documentaries in the last weeks, I can't take them anymore.
Need more space documentaries in the next time to compensate (seen enough about birds already).

Space docu is just as disappointing. A reminder of how I'll be stuck on this decaying hole and never experience the joy of finally discovering other intelligent life out there. Sad face.

Guess I should blame all the space themed, imaginative games and other sources of entertainment for having any sort of wondrous expectation.

Klumpen0815: Dude, afaik where you live, everything is out there to poison you.
Probably some sting you should check out asap.

Tarnicus: Heh yeah however if it was a spider or something else I would have seen it
It has to be an invisible spider then. I am pretty sure your part of the world has those.

The more reason to save and improve what we got here.
Great to see things are looking brighter!

Just hunted the thread back down to see how you were making out. Glad to hear you're clearing up and not turning into a zombie or something. :)

It flared up a bit again, most likely due to my heavily intoxicated state when I arrived in Oberon. Topical application of tea tree oil plus upping my raw garlic intake and exercising to exhaustion has me feeling great. The infection is still in the lid but is very much under control.
