Driven by a deeply personal agenda, Geralt must navigate a maze of hostile forces to find and protect the one described in an ancient prophecy. Pre-order today, and prepare for an RPG experience worthy of the best traditions of the genre, and taking it to a whole new level. On GOG.com The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes DRM-Free and packed with bonus content, just as we all like it. Check out the pre-order page for all the details!

Matruchus: Ah, ok so you don't own any Witcher games then.
Eitherway that is a very high price. So your basic price must be around 80$ then - vow talking about regional pricing.
avatar
Zoidberg: I own both, but this doesn't matter in the least, 27% off is 27$ off.
Since there seems to be so much confusion about this I thought I'd post my 2 cents on this - actually gog is doing everything right, and the price is basically the same for EU and US from all I can see - German base discount is 17 %!! whereas it's 10 % for US.
it goes 60 Euro full price vs 60 $, minus 17/10 %
49,79 Euro vs 53,99$ (difference about 12 $) -5% for 1 witcher game owned
46,79 Euro vs 50,99 $ (difference about 13 $) -5 % for 2 witcher games
43,79 Euro vs 47,99 $ (difference about 12 $)

So, all is good, no cheating anyone :)
And thank you Gog!

Namur: No, it's 43,79€.
avatar
Matruchus: Yeah but im getting a price in us dollar in the middle of EU and it is 47.99$ for me which is 35€ - I own both Witcher games.

Not that im complaining the price is very appropriate for my country with our low income.
You're doing something weird then. My price is in € and it's as other report, and I own both of these, too.
avatar
stoyanps: I guess that the difference in prices in Europa is because some European countries have EUR for their base currency while the others have other base currencies.
Here, in Bulgaria, the currency is BGN and I see the price in USD.

Note: We are in EU, but not in Euro zone.
Denmark here. Also outside Euro Zone. Getting price in €.

Ah, Slovenia, true, makes more sense.

Jinxtah: Now I just need a way to get witcher 2 from my xbox copy :P
avatar
toxicTom: You'd have to ask support if this is at all possible.
Sadly it was a no-go on their end. Ah well :o
I threw my wallet at my laptop and cracked the screen in excitement. Will Gog/CD Projekt Red pay for a new screen as well (JK) :P

genericola: lol $90
witcher's not worth that
Really? I am going to assume you are not trolling (Which you most likely are) and state that it is worth the AU $71ish (What I am being asked to pay) because of:

* High quality story telling. The whole witcher lore and story throughout the first 2 games is very engaging and a lot better than a lot of AAA titles out there (I am looking at YOU, DA2!!). I would likened it to game of thrones in some ways with all of the political turmoils going on in the world.
* High quality QA. My personal experience with the first 2 games is that they are relatively bug free (At least free of game breaking bugs), which reflects the effort they put into quality control. The fact that they pushed this out to be released next year also speaks highly of this, unlike other AAA devs/publishers out there (I am looking at YOU, Bethesda/ZoS).
* High quality graphics and gameplay. The graphic detail in 2 still puts a lot of other CURRENT release AAA titles to shame. I am hoping to see more of that in number 3 (Although I might need a new video card to handle it :( ).
BTW, those looking for the Comic codes and whatnot, they're in the purchase e-mail. The Comic is in Dark Horse, so you need to make an account there and redeem the code, then the comic gets added to your collection there.
I can confirm the Slovenian exception. I have both Witchers here and my price is shown as $47,99. Now the question is, whether or not I should pre-order before GOG fixes the "problem".

On GOG.com The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available without any copy protection mechanisms.
It's interesting that they specify no copy protection... I wonder if this means that there may be regional locking, which is a rather different measure. If not, there will surely be a huge trade of gift codes from Russia/any other countries with the ~20$ price.

Ja res ja. Tako sem nazadnje kupil oba Witcherja pri Battle of the games :) Verjetno bom res počakal na razprodajo.

Hello there fellow countryman. Seems like GOG's IP locator is broken and it reports my price in $ too.
