jfc I almost had a heart attack
I actually would use that "auto-buy" feature that one of the blues (Konrad?) suggested as a joke. It would mean that every game that is removed and not in my library will be bought "last chance". I mean, there's really not much risk with the money-back guarantee - it's not "auto-downloaded".

PainOfSalvation: Can you guys give us 1-2 days start before the game will be pulled from here and not 1 hour or less? I am sure some of us would like to buy something *looking at Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth missed opportunity*. -.-
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth involved legal rights issues. In situations like that GoG is forced to act as soon as they are notified. They can't intentionally allow people time to buy it or they become liable. In the last couple cases, you are asking GoG to leave games on sale for extra time which they have determined are flawed and thus below their standards due to missing updates. As such, they have been offering refunds even after a game has been downloaded or well beyond the normal refund period.

What happens if someone buys the game at the last minute, downloads it, then asks for a refund? You are basically giving them a free game and eating the service fees for the initial transaction. From a business perspective, in both cases, GoG either can't or shouldn't be allowing time to buy them.

The only time it works for an impending removal is when it is known in advance that licensing is about to expire or change hands. In those instances, it would be very nice to have a "leaving the catalog" sale on those games.
I love the careful choice of words in the title to scare us lol

Linko90: Gotta keep you guys on your toes after a long week!
Congratulations on one-upping my Nothing now exists. This is the best time for confusing game titles since They cancelled.
I got a heart attack. The ambulance should be here soon.

Linko90: Everything (2017) has, unfortunately, departed from our catalog. Despite efforts to ensure the GOG version remained up to date with other platforms, both GOG and Double Fine Presents have agreed to delist the game.

For those who currently own Everything, don’t worry, you still (and always will) have access to it.

If you wish to seek a refund for your purchase, please contact support.gog.com.
Great way to scare the hell out of everyone. You did that on purpose didn`t you?
You might want to put Everything (the game) in the thread title to prevent panic attacks. Sticking to the topic, I appreciate that Gog is willing remove a game that is not supported or updated by the developers.
Love the headline, it gave me quite a cardio.

Informing through fear
Although it's never nice to see a game disappear, I also approve of the elimination of incomplete games. I hope they have introduced or will soon introduce a clause requiring developers to keep their games up to date on the platform.

Someone should open a thread to collect bets on the next title to be delisted from GOG!

HereForTheBeer: I can't wrap my head around this:

gOg: "The game is going bye-bye because the developer will not be keeping up version parity compared to other stores."

Customer: "Aw, maaaan! Why did I not get more warning so I could buy this game that I KNOW will not be receiving needed updates on gOg?!?"]
Ditto. "I want to reward the devs with my hard-earned money because they're pulling their game due to their own laziness." Makes no fucking sense.

Then it shouldn't have been in the store in the first place since the fan made patch with few tweaks made the game in working condition. Legal rights should be checked thoroughly before the game hit the store.

Thanks for the heads up Linko90. Would you mind elaborating on the reason why the game was delisted? "Everything" was a game I was looking forward to buying someday, and if this is because the devs didn't want to update their game here (as it has been mentioned on some replies) then it's a reason not to do so anymore. Thanks!
