Sucks that folks didn't realize this was the case - it's super helpful. Especially in, say, an Insomnia tracking thread. :)
Can't tell which ones of these posts are ironical.

Including the OP.
Lol!? did some old gogger really ignore this fundamental feature? XD

Well, yes. Until today I thought that everyone knew about this, but if you'll read the posts previous to this one, you'll see that it actually isn't common knowledge!

Exactly! Here's the visual effect for anyone who's still confused:

I don't get it, do you mean the number beside forum replies in the drop down menu of "ACCOUNT"?

Maybe I'm missing something really obvious?

IanM: for the sake of completeness then as people may be unaware: the cog icon with the exclamation mark shows all posts by blues (and only posts by blues) within the relevant thread
Adding ?staff=yes to the thread URL gets the same result.

Nope, just something not obvious. :)

When a post is replied to, an arrow on the top right of a the forum page (any forum page iirc) will show up, along with a message about new replies. Clicking that will take you to a list of recent posts and let you automatically go to the relevant thread.

When you click on the number beside the forum replies in the drop-down menu, it takes you to the your most recent posts on the forum, and the ones that have replies to your posts have an arrow on the right-hand side, like THIS. I put the blue text there to emphasize that if you click on the ARROW (some people think it looks like a gear) instead of the topic title, the forum will take you directly the reply where someone has quoted your post.

OK, I knew that, the blue threw me off, sorry for the confusion :)

Thanks for the explanation :)

If you wanted to go to the first page of a thread instead of the last you can also click 1 on the right side of the thread. Example if a thread had 25 pages on the right side it would show [p 1-25], click on the 1 and it will take you to the first page.

Also if you click the ! point next to a thread (if there is one) it will show all the admin responses

Or you can just have the forum settings that you always go to the first page if you open a thread :P
(might not be the best option but it is there^^)
