zeroxxx: I got it thru a giveaway as well, so I know.

I reread your statement a few times and still have opinion you were the jerk, not EA.
And I think you're a myopic idiot with the reading comprehension and cerebral capabilities of a guppy. Oh wait, is this not the character assassination/value judgement club? You know nothing of the details, so your analysis is fundamentally flawed right out of the gate. You have a tiny vague smidgeon of knowledge of what transpired, and for that you instantly resort to mudfling? Without so much as a minor attempt to gain a sense of said details? Completely pathetic. This says a great deal more about you than me.

A guy like yourself probably goes through life judging everything with the tiny snippets of knowledge he has on a given situation and comes to a consensus with no actual acquisition of knowledge. There's an apt word for this. It's called ignorance. It's even worse than idiocy because it's willful by design. At least idiots have a valid excuse. Though, I have no IQ transcripts from you to render an absolute verdict, but by virtue of this exchange, I'm making the educated guess that that could also be part of the problem.

By the way, your entire premise is a "no true scottsman" fallacy. Look it up after you're done attempting to harangue the world for whatever misguided and narcissistic projected values you want it to adhere to. And here's a word of the day for you since you still fail to grasp it's meaning. I'm the jerk? Wow, you are some piece of work. Profound...

And in case you attempt to use the above as means for proof of original judgement, let's recall that I wouldn't need to respond this way hadn't you put me in this position to begin with. Grow up and learn cause and effect. In short, cut the bullshit.

Gunsang: Whoa, ok. I didn't look into it; that's my mistake. I was only judging from that post only. From that post alone: I felt that yes, a guy's not a jerk for asking a girl for her number, but a guy's a jerk if he pesters her for 30 minutes in order to get that number. Just because customer support is there, doesn't mean you have a right to argue with them until you get your way.

That said, I was not aware of the surrounding circumstances and I did make the mistake of passing judgement without looking into it.
If you read my post carefully you'll see that I said "It took about a half hour". I never said what part as I figured this wouldn't be a reading comprehension issue for anyone, yielding bizarre and unsubstantiated insults. That was for the entire process, including talking to support for the grand total of ~5-8 minutes that I did, including the 3 or so minute wait for the guy to go ask his supervisor how/if he could do this.

The other time was finding a browser that would actually get to EA's support (Firefox for some reason wouldn't), the wait to get to support, the need to install Origin on OSx to verify if it was added as that was the PC I was doing this on, and the support guy asking me to add an image from one of the links I posted here so the guy could use that as proof of validation for the late adding of this now-delisted game in case his supervisor asked, actually adding that image to the support ticket, and finally uninstalling Origin on OSx. The point was, it didn't take long for what I received.

What's interesting is how people read this how they want to read it. Interpretation without solid facts.

jamyskis: To be honest, Maxis hasn't been Maxis since Will Wright left some time ago, and even then, Spore wasn't particularly good. Maxis itself hadn't turned out a decent game since The Sims 2 in 2004. The Sims Medieval wasn't bad, but apparently wasn't directly a Maxis product.

The Sims 3 was mediocre, The Sims 4 was crap, DarkSpore and SimCity 2013 were nothing short of fucking dreadful.

And let's not kid ourselves, as much of a genius Will Wright was regarding the early SimCity games, he was also an advocate of the EA school of "gaming is foremost a business". If EA hadn't bought out Maxis, then Maxis would probably have gone down the same road as EA anyway.
I have to agree, Maxis made great games when Will Wright was part of the team. Sim City 3000, SimCity 4, SimCity 2000 were all great games, The Sims 1 was fantastic, and The Sims 2 was even fantastic! After Will Wright left to start Stupid Fun Club which hasn't really done anything, Maxis was no more than. Spore sucked, IMO, I bought it with its expansion packs, and I didn't get into it, not like The Sims!

The Sims 3 was bad, I tried getting into it but just doesn't have the love as the 2nd one did, and The Sims 4, is a wreck again, and SimCity 5 has had a lot of issues.

Ok man, ok. As I said, I passed judgement without looking into it; that's my mistake.

From your post, it sounded as if you were pestering them until you got your way. Clearly that wasn't the case.

I'm sorry I called you a jerk over a lack of information. Sorry.

Can we all just get along here? I made a mistake, sorry.
