In pc there is Warriors Orochi. This is a crossover between Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series, a very nice and innovating game, with huge player/character roster. You might want to try that. It is translated in English, too.

There is also Warriors Orochi Z, which is a collection/compilation of Warriors Orochi 1 and 2. 2 Never made it to pc, it was a consoles exclusive. Warriors Orochi Z was released for pc, but only in JAPANESE and CHINESE, thanks to SONY, who didn't want the game come to america (for ratings, age restriction and other similar w*nk), even if once it was planned for American release.

Warriors Orochi Z is great, i have it in Japanese. There is also an amateur (but functional) english patch translation for free download. But as i had Warriors Orochi 1 in English before, i already knew the menus and the in-game things, items, treasures, battle conditions (what to do to win battle), etc.

Try that, it is a very good game.

WhiskeredWolf: I'm a seriously huge dynasty warriors fan and have played most entries including dynasty warriors 8 xlce on steam. It was a host to so many issues but dynasty warriors is one of those games where fans look past a lot... I'd relish the chance to play 4 5 and 6 again, especially on gog but I doubt that will happen in the forseeable future. As said above, Japanese devs are only just starting to recognise pc as a truely viable platform... We are a way off from real ports and remastered back logs!
Yeah, the original release version of 8 on Steam wasn't so hot in terms of how good the port was. It also didn't add things you'd think would be a nobrainer for a PC release, like multiplayer co-op, leaving only local. That was just crazy to me. A buddy and me had actually both picked it up for the sole reason of coop over Steam, only to find out it wasn't supported. I still enjoy it and there's a bunch of "new" characters, but it could have been so much better.

On the bright side though, enough people wanted it to warrant them making a new Nobunaga's Ambition available on PC, along with a new Bladestorm and eventually a new ROT3K as well. Maybe now would be a good time for GOG to approach KOEI/Tecmo with some propositions to get the older games here too!
