A Dungeon of Love for Valentine’s Day from GOG.com and EA!

Today of all days, a good part of the world celebrates love in all shapes, sizes, and flavors. For us at GOG.com, there is no greater love than the love of classic PC games. We love them, you love them, and you know what? We love you as well! So we decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day by partnering up with our friends at Electronic Arts to offer you an exclusive Dungeon Keeper promotion:

For the next 48 hours Dungeon Keeper Gold (complete with the Deeper Dungeons expansion) can be added to your GOG.com account for free! If you already own it on GOG.com, you can still get one extra gift-code for the game and present it to your significant other gamer, or a friend.

Spend time quality time protecting your Dungeon Heart from invaders and experience this classic series first hand. Further, the excellent sequel, Dungeon Keeper 2, is available for only $1.49 as a part of our special Valentine's Day promo. The offer lasts until Sunday, February 16, at 10:59AM GMT.

Would you rather storm and loot dungeons rather than protect them? Our special Destination: Dungeons & Dragons promo has you covered with a great collection of RPG classics up to 80% off!

almabrds: I'm having a problem.
I received no emails from gog, and I can't click in the button anymore. :/
Help?

ALH: Yeah i'm having the same problem.Been waiting for about an hour.I guess/hope the mail will come eventually.
Yeah, same here. Been waiting around an hour, still no sign.
Very nice trolling GOG :)
Well, I clicked the button to get the game for free, and other than the spinning circle, nothing has happened. :S

Yep I got the email and clicked the button, nothing on my shelf.
I cannot see the game either, but I recollect a message when I clicked on the free, it said, it will be a while, we will let you know when the game is available. So they are not giving it away just as yet.

I use a mac, purchasing DK2 would not be of much use as I wont boot to windows to run that game, however DKGold runs on a Mac and it says that the FREE version is DKGold, which one? The free one that everyone can get or the FREE one bundled with DK2?

any clarifications please.

InfraSuperman: Well, apparently, the retail version of "Spellforce 2 - Gold" was just "Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars"[..]
"Dragon Storm" is a stand-alone expansion.[..]"Spellforce 2: Faith in Destiny", that one was also a stand-alone game[..]

GOG has actually upgraded several games from "just" the base game to some kind of "gold" edtion[..]
Cool, thanks for the info! I'll buy it, then.
Weird that both new expansions are standalone games, however.
If they are worth it, I hope that this will be upgraded to a possible Platinum edition.

Any opinion on these two:
- Hammerwatch - I watched a beta month ago and it seemed nice, but I expected more complexity, like loot and more creatures. Is that been added?
- Pixeljunk Monsters HD - is it better than the tons of Tower Defense games around? I'd like to play the best titles.
Oh, this is the best of days.
You guys are awesome.

I sent a message to support.
The reply:

Hello

To limit server load, the free game orders are queued, and processed when processing power allows. It may take a few minutes until the order is fully processed, after which you will get a confirmation e-mail, and gain access to the game in your "My Account" section.

To make sure that you have been queued, please go to the main page and check the Dungeon Keeper promo banner. If there is a "Get it now" button, please use it again. If there is a "Enjoy your game" notification instead of the button, then you are queued and will get an e-mail shortly.

Let's just have more patience (I know it's kinda hard :p).

Thanks for the free game, GOG!

Edit:
Game added to shelf! :)

I don't even have the confirmation email. Nothing has happened on clicking the button at all. Afraid to refresh in case it thinks I've used it when nothing has in fact registered to my account.
Thanks GoG, downloading now.

The email does take a while, though, so be patient, folks.
