I took the easy way and moved the legacy cases to the second post, with the multiplayer cases.

Lifthrasil: I can't edit my opening post anymore.I tried yesterday and today to add something about Forced Showdown. However, after posting the edit, no change shows up in the thread.

Ah! Thanks. I'll have to make the other entries more concise then.

AB2012: This stuff is one of the reasons why I went with Google Sheets for the old DRM-Free games on Epic thread and simply link to it in post #1. Once you go over GOG forums character limits, you have to start splitting lists in multiple posts. If there aren't any "reserved" posts in post 3, 4, 5, etc, of page 1, then part 2 can end up on page 24. It can get very messy. Different lists (single player, legacy, multi-player, etc) can be put in different tabs of the same sheet, plus it can be downloaded for offline reference / backup in case the thread gets deleted. Hopefully the list won't grow and grow, but putting it in a spreadsheet and linking to it in post 1 is one alternative if it does.
Yes, let's hope that this list won't grow too much. It is too long already. Ideally, it's length should be zero!

Lifthrasil: Forced Showdown - the game contains a warning that you need to be online via Galaxy to access some cosmetic bonus content. However, that doesn't work, even with Galaxy. So by design that content would be DRMed. But in reality it is just not there at the moment.
Slight correction, it doesn't tell you that you need to be online via Galaxy to access some cosmetic.

When you start in offline mode it warns you that some feature will be disabled if you are not online using Galaxy (e.g. Leaderboard, daily challenges, etc... from what I gather most of those features are now dead anyway as the game is seven years old, but I didn't actually try myself)

Then once you reach the "main menu" you have a series of buttons (I am tempted to say "ads") to access the devs website, gets info about their other games,etc... and one of those button tells you that you can have extra "goodies" for their games if you register. All those buttons simply open an external browser to a page on the devs website. For the Steam version, once you register, they send you a Steam key that you have to manually redeem, once it's done a new DLC for the game is added to your account.

I will see if I get an answer from them about the Gog version.

OK. thanks for the correction again.

And keep us updates, whether the devs reply.

But we all know that it will...
The Cult of the Lamb Relics of the Old Faith update is out now if anyone has the opportunity to check if the DRM issue has been fixed.

Edit: typo.

Hello,

I used the game without any problem for 20 minutes.
I don't have time to do more now.
The PC is offline permanently under win 7 and it is an old backup.
Before the last update the same save was problematic, as described in other posts.

Maybe this is fixed.

I played a couple of hours yesterday while being offline, Galaxy and its services stopped, did four sermons, one ritual, no issue yet.

That's great to hear. It might just have been an unintentional bug after all then. Just too bad they took so long to fix it.

Thank you both for checking.

Great! Is that fixed only if you get a DLC? Or is the Relics of the Old Faith update an update that everyone gets for the base game?
(sorry, unimportant)

I don't have any DLC, it seems that the update fix the problem.

Relics of the Old Faith is a free update for everyone.
Great! Thanks!
Some already posted, but confirming:

Cult of the Lamb update fixed the "softlock if offline" DRM I ran into before.

Download offline patch installer from GOG.com.
Take machine offline [physical wifi switch]. Verify no Galaxy services running.
Install update. Launch title.
Load same save that was immediately before the moment before. It correctly progresses now instead of infinitely animating the sermon speech.

I did not re-test the start-of-game one, someone else mentioned it was gone. And I previously only sometimes replicated it.

That's the best kind of edit to this list, when I get to remove a game from it!
