BlackheartNL: The Steam return policy (bless the EU) has forced them to actually take the problem seriously it seems.
That doesn't help us who bought it retail.

bela555: To be honest i dont care, but probably they will fix it :P

MorningStar33: It isn't Rocksteady game. Anyway I don't remember terreible bugs?
I read there is still one where you can't get out of certain room or something and you need to edit your save to get beyond it.
Sure, it doesn't happen to anyone but it apparently exists.

vemin: No. doubdt it.
they will make it barely playable and then continue making dlc - just like they did to previous game.
I didnt see any PC love from that publisher and publisher is more important then developer in this case
agree
they wil put in the least amount of effort to make it run ina playable fashion and then pump out dlc
they are already pumping out dlc's for the console versions

NoNewTaleToTell: That was a different dev, WB Games Montreal I believe.
Iron Galaxy Studios was responsible for both PC ports. Whether they were solely responsible, that's another matter.

Yep, that's exactly what my expectations are too. They did the same thing with Batman Arkham Origins too. I remember reading one of their executives stating publicly more or less that they didn't care about the game bugs at the moment that they were busy working on expansion packs and DLC and they might look at bugs at some future date.

That was all I needed to hear to add that developer to my "dead to me" list of companies I wont ever purchase anything from because they are inherently anti-consumer capitalists.
But at least Arkham Origins works. I can max it out and have an fps of constant 60.

Could you do so at launch?

wish more customers had long memories like that when developers and publishers screw them over

but nupe come the next game oh hai gaiz lets throw moniez at you !

Lol, no. I couldn't even get past the first boss fight with Killer Croc because he just vanished from the game and took the audio with him. I was left alone on the snowy roof and had to ctrl+alt+del to quit.

Yup, overall I think I'm very tolerant and forgiving of game companies (developers, publishers, distributors), and when they make mistakes - as all humans will do from time to time, whether by pure innocent human err, or by bad decision making or even hostility to some degree - as long as they correct the problem and vow to do better in the future and then hold themselves up to that - I will generally give them the benefit of doubt because everyone makes mistakes from time to time and if we hold permanent grudges against everyone who does then we end up hating everyone with permanent grudges.

But, when companies go way over the line into anti-consumer behaviour or worse, they do that and practically brag about it with complete lack of care like they're Donald Trump or something then they will end up on my dead-to-me board and I'll never buy their products or use their services again unless they do something to regain my trust and it successfully does so. Stunts like the Batman Origins fiasco made me vow to not buy from them again. Fortunately - I found out before spending my money so I did not actually get ripped off though in that case, but I have gotten ripped off by other companies with anti-consumer practices before so I'm bitter about it. :)

Some companies make mistakes and try to correct them.
But there are others like EA/Ubisoft/WB who just play the game "How long can we piss them off until they stop buying our games"
This guys dont care about customers at all. Wote with your wallet - it is the only thing they hear.
I dont like Steam but their refund system is awesome. WB was first ones who got burned) and I'II just get some popcorn and watch other big releases this year.

You just basically listed my "dead to me" list, although you forgot to include Rockstar. :)

All 4 of those companies make tonnes of games I'd love to own and play, but I have committed to never buying their games unless they show up on GOG DRM-free. The only exception might be if there is a Bundlestars or Humble Bundle that happened to contain N games I want and a game from one of those other companies happened to be present also, but I've avoided a few bundles like that as well. The only other way I've ended up with games from any of those companies since they made my dead-to-me list is if I've won them in contests/giveaways or gotten a free gift or free promo over time. A friend of mine gifted me Watch Dogs a while back for example.

I'm pretty steadfast about my rule too and have not knowingly made any exceptions to date other than the above. It sometimes hurts a bit when I would love one of the particular games they make. For example, I would absolutely _love_ to try out Grand Theft Auto 5 as I own all of the other games in the series and love them all - but I feel compelled to vote against Rockstar's policies with my wallet by not opening it. I might get lucky in a promo or giveaway sometimes perhaps, the game shows up on Steamgifts.com from time to time although the odds of winning are astronomical but there is still the occasional chance. I wont lose sleep not having it though, lots of other games to play and I can keep my ideology intact. :)
