The perks of being a dreamer

Do you enjoy poking around whimsical worlds, full of oddball characters who rarely use words but whose lovely animations speak volumes? Do you feel the irresistible urge to set off chains of unexpected but oddly satisfying interactions augmented by charming sound effects? Then you must be a fan of Amanita worlds! Just like us!

The Samorost series made us fall in love with them, then Machinarium came along and revitalised our affection for imaginative point'n'clicks before Botanicula overwhelmed us completely with its breezy, feel-good sensibilities. It's never too late to treat yourself to these unique adventures and while you're at it you should also pick up Samorost 3 or Samorost 3 Cosmic Edition, both of which are now 20% off for owners of any Amanita games!

Cause and effect. Action and interaction. Just like the little gnome would like it.

Smannesman: Wasn't one of them in a Humble Bundle the day it was released here?
Yup, Botanicula.
This might be the strangest "promo" I've ever seen on here. Only one game on sale, the discount is 20%, and you only get the discount if you already own another game by the developer. Bizarre.
It might be a new kind of performance art… or trolling.

Melvinica: I see no discount at all for any of the games.

mrkgnao: You need to own (or buy) at least one other Amanita game in order to get a 20% off on Samorost 3.
If you don't already own another Amanita game, you can see it by adding Samorost 3 and, say, Botanicula to your cart.
Thanks. If one could only stop and read first :).
Seems odd that this gets a newspost while the recent Hard West sale didn't. That series got a bigger discount, and there were no requirements to qualify for it. Though it did get a tile on the front page, whereas this doesn't seem to have one, so maybe it evens out.
It's marketing, Jim, but not as we know it.
Maybe they are testing a newly implemented feature to discount games.

Fairfox: Me: Errr... 'kay. Random 20% sale (edz: with caveat) on one game from the company. That's... nice? Not sure why this is an official news/forum announcement thing.
Probably because very few people would have noticed the discount/figured out how it worked (due to that caveat) without the news post.
Still waiting for the Humble Bundle, but thanks for asking! ;)

GOG.com:
Is there any chance we can get an installer version of the original Samorost? Yes, I know it's available online, but it would be nice to have a version that is "ours". You could give it away as a standalone freebie or pair it with Samorost 2 and sell the package as Samorost 1+2.

Agreed, that seems the most likely explanation.
Too bad there's no Linux version. Maybe sometime in the future. If not, Samorost 2 will remain the end of the story for me.
Samorost 3 Cosmic Edition is the only one I don't have. I'm feeling a little drained lately from some serious (addiction based buying). Might just leave of buying this one for now
Not cool! I bought this Cosmic Edition here on the release day. This soon you're having a sale of it?
not cool!
