"In the meantime, Kick's plans for 2015 involve more technically complex projects (one of which "has to do with dinosaurs") that would involve coding beyond basic compatibility issues. It's an open question if his informal team is ready for an increase in scale on that level, but he seems optimistic."

Maybe that's "Trespasser"? (assuming EA allowed ND access) What other dinosaur games can people think of that need compatibility work?
I asked Stephen about Operation Genesis, he said he would look into it.
Primal Rage?
Since they're so obviously in bed with Team America exclusivity, is there a way to make sure they DON'T get the rights to games? Probably hopeless and all, it's just majorly depressing to see such classics get locked to an online platform.

Strife was perfectly fine without multiplayer, and I never even knew it had that until they released their veteran garbage.

Tarm: Me too. I remember the second one being a fun shooter. :)

Ingsoc85: Or maybe one of the old Jurassic Park games.
I'd be fine with that too. Haven't played them so my curiosity would have me buy them.

I want this too. They buy up great old games and release broken versions on steam only. It's making me mad!

They did say Strife would be released on GOG (thought no date was given) and I do believe the "new" version has classic mode.

I honestly don't believe them. Hopefully I'm wrong but my bet is they'll go steam only. Again.

I'm pretty sure that the new version of Strife is down to what the original Strife devs wanted to do with it, with ND working as publishers, rather than something that ND themselves spearheaded
We need to remember that ND work with rights holders and have to respect what they want to do with the properties they own...

"I played the heck out of NOLF when it first came out, but its combination of psychedelic color, wry humor, and intelligent gameplay hasn't found much traction since, with the exception of one sequel"

Turok would be nice. And Trespasser too.

I can hope. It would be sweet to have a remastered Strife that stays true to the original (Except I want a longer ending. Preferable more graphic and, uhm... yeah. :P ) here on GOG.

Tarm: Turok?

SpellSword: That would be interesting. ^_^

fuck
Yes. :-(

Still. Perhaps ND, needing to find profit from other sources, will be motivated to get on with releasing Strife on GOG.
Someone who was working with Night Dive for the Strife release has now posted screens of the Saturn version of Powerslave running on PC (something Night Dive says they intended to have made):

Regarding Strife...

I was talking to ND, presumably Stephen, on FB and brought up Strife. Here is what was said:

"Strife is coming to gog, we're evaluating opportunities to bring the veteran edition over with most of the features intact on Galaxy."

-----

I share previous info I collected (I don't share what others have collected) with ND b/c they may be willing to do more than GOG does (because GOG has a lot more on their plate) to get games running on modern machines, case in point with a lot of early Windows games - like some of the games pictured here:

After the Strife debacle and NAM before it, I really don't trust ND.
