Time to rock. Devil May Cry titles are here!

We’re thrilled to welcome Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition and Devil May Cry HD Collection to both the GOG catalog and the GOG Preservation Program, fully DRM-free and ready to be played in their best form forever.

Bundle containing both titles HERE.

The timing of this double arrival is perfect, as Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is celebrating its 10th anniversary!

It’s a joy and an honor to bring this legendary series from Capcom to GOG. Whether you are returning to the action or discovering it for the first time, we hope you create unforgettable memories with these masterpieces.

But Dante isn’t arriving alone. Today, more legends join the GOG Preservation Program:

Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded
Voyage: Journey to the Moon
Star Wars™ Rebellion
Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive
Populous™
Mortal Kombat 1+2+3
Star Trek™: Judgment Rites
Magic Carpet™ 2: The Netherworlds
Castles + Castles 2
Earthworm Jim 2
Imperium Galactica

Each of these titles is fully optimized for modern systems, DRM-free, and preserved to remain accessible for generations to come.

Thank you for being part of this journey. With your support, amazing partners like Capcom, and our shared love for games, we are showing that classics do not have to be lost to time.

Let’s keep making games live forever. See you soon!
Resident Evil 2 remake coming? I doubt it, but since staff really likes to answer our questions and get involved in their own forum, I had to ask.

>_>
I know the DMC series only by name so could someone please enlighten me:
AFAIK these are first and foremost console games and therefore primarily for controllers. But how good do they play with m + kb? And what is the actual gameplay; is it just killing everything in a big room then going to another big room doing the same, rinse and repeat? Or is there actually some exploration involved?

bzdursky: Oh man, if you guys can fix transparency issue in HD Collection then I would buy it once for me and once for my friend. There's this weird texture bug that has never been adressed by Capcom where all hair textures are not showing proper transparency and it looks off. This is visible mostly in DMC3.
I think there should be a mod out there, but not sure if it is compatible with the fresh GOG version. It surely will become adapted soon because in usual GOG versions enjoy good mod support.

Guess that one:

They have never answered questions like this, at least not for the "special" releases.

DMC 1 plays like classic Resident Evil and has exploration and save locations (interesting tidbit: DMC 1 was made from a rejected RE4 prototype). The second game is more of a 'run through rooms fighting baddies, clear stage, repeat' kinda deal.

Yes, there are mods that fixes that, but having it right out of the box would be incredible.
I was being sarcastic....they dont care.
Cowabunga!
Well, that was really unexpected. I'm now hoping for DmC! Thank you GOG and Capcom!!!
HELL YEAH!!!! Thank you so much! Best GOG release of the year. Been wanting to get into this classic series for long. I'm glad I held off buying it on Steam and PSN, now the best platform option is here, and with the preservation too.

I hope Okami dashes on GOG as the next Capcom classic. Would be perfect for a replay before the sequel.

That makes at least the first one a little bit interesting for me. Thanks for the answer.

GOG does not even know it themself; a lot of releases are pretty much "luck of the draw"... hard work and constantly trying to convince publishers of expanding their platforms.

RE2 is not impossible to arrive in a good amount of years but considering this game is still rather new (less than 10 years of age), it is not a GOG game yet... at least according to how Capcom is handling it. Still, Devil May Cry is a very high tier Capcom game and we already got RE classics, so, the future looks pretty bright.

I have to admit I was rather expecting Lost Planet trilogy coming to GOG due to fixing Game for Windows LIVE problems with second part, but we have got a nice suprise.:)
