drealmer7: That's what I was considering doing, and usually do prefer to play things in order that they came out so I can see how things progressed, but, without having played them before, I'm worried my ability to "get into" them will be a little harder and so I was going against what I'd normally do. Hmmm, maybe I should reconsider.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though. The Eye of the Beholder games, for example, are kinda a different animal from the others anyway. The older games are much more like Might and Magic 1 & 2 while Eye of the Beholder is more like Dungeon Master or sort of like M&M 3-5 or Legend of Grimrock type of play. I'm not familiar with the games in collection 3, so can't comment, but at least with collections 1 & 2, they are different enough, one could start with either. If I were you, I'd pick the style of game you liked best.
