This time of the year may not be the sunniest one, but it sure has a lot of game deals! Just take a look at the Daedalic Extra Autumn Sale on GOG.COM that will last until 22nd November 2020, 2 PM UTC. Didn't we just have a Daedalic sale a few weeks ago?
Thanks GoG!

Rachel Foster´s game was in my wishlist, now is the time
The 0% on Iratus is especially interesting! :P

goglin: Got the Valhalla Hills: Two-Horned Helmet Edition.
Now it shows "Valhalla Hills" and "Valhalla Hills: Two-Horned Helmet Edition" as owned,
but not the "Valhalla Hills: Two-Horned Helmet Edition Upgrade" *sigh* *roll-eyes*
and we still can't ignore items like on Steam double eye-roll
I wouldn't recommend any of their games. Also, there are a bunch in the Humble Trove (DRM-free), so for $5 you can get a bunch of Daedelic games and attempt to find one that you like. Plus you also get a few nice games like "A Short Hike" (and a bunch of games that are somehow even worse than what Daedelic makes).

Valts007: To play Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth, do I need read book?
Hi, It´s not necessary, but in my opinion i enjoyed more the game because i read the book before.
[EDIT: Anna's quest has in-game achievements. They didn't care to mention it in the store page. Right.] Despite having a problem with the lack of achievements and cloud save, I have played Anna's Quest demo from Steam and I found it good and wishlisted it. What I like the most is that I could solve the first chapter without a walkthrough, all puzzles made sense. The minus: the text was at times too fast for my German, no click to advance option. One case of pixel hunting was solved with the hotspot indicator.
The game is not really from Deadelic but Dane Krams' Krams Design. This explains the lack of German dub and the fact that the English one sounds good. They also have made a free game called Egress.

Absolutely not. I've read the book, watched the TV series and played the game. I think I've just also ordered them in quality order ;), but perhaps I just like books.
The game is still very decent point and click with beautiful graphics and music. Gameplay-wise it's kind of "modern" adventure, not the classic style (easier, more cut-scenes, some puzzles are trivial, there are a few time-based parts trying to make the game more dynamic I suppose), which might be good or bad depending what you like.
For this price it's long and engaging story - and without knowing the book it'd be even more interesting, because of some plot twists, which in my case were spoiled by reading the book.

In my case it was exactly the opposite :) The book is much deeper and story has been obviously simplified in the game, which caused some disappointment in my case. Comparing to other adventure games - this one is really long, interesting and full of surprises.

polecat1: I don't get it -

Silence released in 2016 - 33% off
State of Mind released in 2018 - 85% off

Is State of Mind THAT bad?
It is not - it is a narrative game from the guy behind The Moment Of Silence (I know, different company) and it shows common themes. However I believe those over serious puzzle-less games cannot really be more than "interesting". The graphics are cool.

I tried Silence and it was graphically awesome and the rest was super meh. Bring back the good old puzzley Daedalic!

It's hard to imagine deeper discounts, to be honest, but I'm still waiting with some titles...

If they are in trouble and need to make some cash on their catalogue here, they should consider some bundle – to push the prices even a bit lower, but also to force us to make a bigger purchase, including titles we're not sure we want. That would work, I think. It's obvious that everyone who wanted the games for the current price, probably already own them.

The problem is that most of Daedalic games have been quickly bundled (a lot!) on Steam and were available in ridiculously low prices, a lot of people own Steam or even physical copies. Some of games are also rather mediocre – their adventure games are really pretty and I love the classic p&c mechanics, but I cannot say I like their dialogues, sense of humour and characters. Why to re-buy here, if I'm not sure I'd ever play them again?

I've purchased some Daedelic's games I consider worth it (Shogun, Candle) and some just for a try (Bounty Train, Caravan, Blackguards), but I'll buy (or re-buy) more only with a decent bundle or even deeper discounts, sorry.
Iratus: Lord of the Dead shows as 0% off on when I open the sale page, with the original price struck out and the sale (original) price next to it.
Checks Memoria
Checks The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav

Still no German version on either of them.

Geez, Deadalic, Y U haet my money so much?!
Is it true that Daedalic is in big financial trouble ? Can't say that I'm a big fan of their work (point and click isn't really my thing honestly), but I would still consider buying something if it can help them in those times of need.
