Isn't the guy worried that Disney will sue him for trademark infringement and copyright infringement because, the body of cup-head looks like it was lifted from mickey mouse and the fact that the design is so ear-ly similar, that disney may just buy his IP or company outright to squash him? not to mention the big evil pirate looks like its Bluto

Disney blackmails politicians to extend copyright and trademark, its like Scientology, an evil cult.
Cuphead reminds me more of Fleischer Studios cartoons in theme and art style honestly.
I am more curious to know if there are any examples of blackface in the game.

Don't be crazy. This is 2017, people are more sensitive to that. Next thing you know you'll be suggesting that the POTUS might actually sympathize with neo nazis.

Oh wait

That's fine, after all we already have Disney as a publisher in GOG. So we will have the game either way!

Yeah the game certainly has a charming style, hopefully there's also good gaming content in there.
Copyright doesn't protect art styles, the dev will be fine.

But it does protect character features and design.

That said, black shirt and big hands are no way sufficient for Disney to make a claim.

That said Apple did sue Samsung over rounded corners, so the legal world is seriously messed up.

Because Disney.

That's true.. but also some early MM Disney cartoons in color (e.g: Mickey's Garden)

If roger ebert can sue for someone putting their thumb in the air, and win, then disney can sue for this.

F4LL0UT: Because Disney.
but it will be forever trademarked even after copyright passes to be honest so we cant distribute old films and call it mickey mouse, maybe something else, but damn the law, Disney always got what he wanted.
