FearfulSymmetry: The fourth one is my very favourite. It's batshit crazy and it cracks me up everytime. :P My favourite part is a sequence in which you're in a spaceship being chased by aliens, and you have to escape while 'What Is Love' by Haddaway is playing loudly in the background. xD

I haven't played many FPS games, as they sometimes make me a bit nauseous. Which are your favourites? Tower Defense is not really my thing, although some of those games look quite fancy.
Hahaha XD I definitely need to play through all of these n__n

My all time favourite FPS is No One Lives Forever. It's the reason I became an Agent :-) It is a lovely stealth/action game, and its humour cracks me up to this day.
Other favourites include Deus Ex (though I'd probably classify that as an RPG first), the STALKER series, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, FEAR, and Medal of Honor.

ddickinson: What evil grin. I don't know what you mean. :-)

Hopefully it was just attempted suicides. It's never nice when people commit suicide. :-(
Oh my bad....i must have seen ghosts ;)
Well i don't know. But it does happen here now and again.
But in case of a suicide the media are encouraged not ot report extensively on that.

ddickinson: I think I am just a bit spoilt due to all the sales. The game is really good, and I would recommend it, but compared to other games that you could get for that price, or for several games you could get for that price, I am not sure it would be worth it. For me at least, I know we are all different when it comes to price to hour ration. Definitely one to get on sale thought.
I think we are all a bit like that. It is far too easy to get used to the deep discounts during sales, not to mention Humble Bundles. I had to stop myself from shopping at Humble anymore, for fear that I would be unwilling to buy anything ever again for more than 88 cents ;-p
Actually, the truth is, I stopped shopping there because I have too much trouble keeping track of all my different libraries. I just stay here these days. Also, this is the only place I know of where everything is still DRM free.

Yeah, must have been ghosts. :-)

That is nice of the media, to give the family some privacy. We generally report such things here, but never usually in an obtrusive way.

Yes...blame the late hour :)
Well it's more like an unwritten law (encouraged by the state) but there are media that tend to ignore that....especially yellow press...

Humble Bundle does have some very nice sales. I saw a very attractive Warhammer bundle a while ago, but sadly no DRM-Free versions. :-(

There are some very good deals to be had with bundles, especially given the low prices for so many games.

Oh if our media would report about those attempts, theree wouldn't be time left for other things. Even I had to pull a suicidal Woman off the tracks. :/ And I've been at the station for 160 hours...

Why do you think they don't report it? Do they just pretend it was a fault or something? And what is Yellow Press?

That is very sad to hear. :-(
But I am glad you were able to save a person.

GreenDamsel: Doing fine. Playing CSGO mainly.

How are you?
avatar
ddickinson: Good evening!

Clad to hear you are doing fine. What is CSGO?

I am good, nothing really to complain about.

avatar
CarrionCrow: And D comes in from out of nowhere to take post 60,000! -laughing hard-

Good evening. =)

Doing well here, how are you feeling today?
avatar
ddickinson: 60,000th post? *goes to look*

YAY! :-)

I did not realise we were reaching the 60,000th mark. It's a shame Owl was not here, I would have loved her to get it as she keeps mission out on nice post numbers.

It's nice to hear you are doing well. I am doing good, the same health problems, but other than that I am doing good.

avatar
ElTerprise: Good evening DD *big 60,000 achievement unlocked hug* :D
Doing good here and my evening was quite relaxing which was much appreciated after the quite stressful work :)
How are you doing?
avatar
ddickinson: Good evening! *return hug*

Thank you for the lovely hug. What do I get for the achievement? :-)

Sorry to hear you have had a stressful day at work, but I am glad that you had a much better evening.

I am good, thank you. Just trying to keep myself awake for a bit as I slept way too much today.

AgentBirdnest: *throws confetti*

Lovely enough here. A simple and relaxing evening.

*happy 60,000 hug*

ddickinson: Hello, Agent! *dances around in the confetti* :-)

Glad to hear you are doing lovely. Have you been up to anything fun today?

ddickinson: You had me at the books :-). Although the clothes shopping sounds nice as well. It sounds like you will have a fun day, hopefully it will be lots and lots of fun and you will have a great time together.

Thank you. It should be fine, just routine stuff, although the weight loss is a little worrying. I will see what they think when I talk to the specialist. Hopefully it is just side effects of the whole thing and it will just take time.

Good luck with your dentist. I was never too keen on the dentist. Luckily I only have to see him for checkups now and then.

*Godzilla size hug*
I already have way too many books, but I keep buying more anyway because books. :) I'm sure we'll have a great time, the weather is supposed to be really nice as well.

Yep, losing weight sort of goes with being ill, but it's definitely smart to keep an eye on it before it can get too bad. :)

It's not that I'm terrified of them but they always make me feel kind of uncomfortable. Especially as I have weak teeth and small problems are kind of common for me. But oh well! Things could be much worse! At least I've got someone to look after my teeth. :)

We just call it "press" here ;-p Of course nobody can force the media what to report or not report on... but If anyone even so much as suggested that the media ignore a story, everybody would be crying "censorship!" "communism!" "dictator!"

I've never played NOLF, but from all I'm hearing I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will come to GOG someday. I do own FEAR and and Deus Ex but I have yet to get around to them. :)

well "saving" isn't the right word but i'm not allowed to talk about the details. Sorry :/

I'm sorry i was under the impression that yellow press is a common desription for tabloid media...
Well in most cases there no reports at all or they are using code like "ambulance operations" or "fire brigade operations"...

*Gives Fearful a strange look*

Is there such a think as too many books? :-)

Well, so far since I collapsed I have lost over 13lbs, which isn't too good as I was at my ideal weight. Hopefully it is nothing too bad, I just need my stomach to get better so I can keep some more food down.

I can understand you feeling uncomfortable. It's not nice having people like doctors and dentists prodding and poking us, especially with drills and things like dentists have. I hope it will all go perfectly and you will be done in no time.
