Orkhepaj: hmmm looks like q will be in pikard season 2 , does anybody watch pikard series?
I tried but dropped at episode two. The pacing was very slow and boring. Plus, the story contradicting established canon, established characters and common sense turned me off.

ah same , and it looked picard is only in the game and not the main character

MovingArtillery: 4. Actually, I'm not really sure about the locale hehe. But for me, I usually celebrate mine and my family members' by having nasi kuning as a breakfast to start the day.

Here's a photo of what nasi kuning actually looks like:
https://www.resepistimewa.com/wp-content/uploads/nasi-kuning.jpg
I want a nasi kuning and I'm not waiting for my next birthday! Yum!
Star Trek Continues is easily the most admirable fan-project I've ever seen and to show you why, I'll just link the first episode.

If I had to leave Earth, I think asteroid mining would be a good career path.

For my birthday this year, I roped Mom into watching the Extended Tolkien Saga (Dad escaped on "already-watched-it" privilege, but fate roped him into Avatar: TLA for his birthday because Master and Commander was broken but we've only finished Book 1 so far.), and even skipped Unexpected Journey even though she doesn't remember watching with Dad and me in theaters. She has so little free time that it's taking a little more than 3 weeks and there's just 1 week to go before we go on a short road-trip for her birthday but Return of the King still awaits us.

As for the music video, Mom and I watched that in theaters and...I wouldn't recommend.

Happy Birthday!! :) Not in.

Lone_Scout: My favourite Star Trek movie is Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Why? Because it was the first Star Trek movie I ever saw: I was a child totally unaware of the Star Trek universe and it impressed me quite positively. And there were whales in it... :)
"That one is quite popular tonight, it seems" GR says, as he smiles and greets his new guests. "And yes, it is quite nice in some ways"

(one of my favorite bits is when Scotty talks to the old earth computer like "Computer? Computer?")

avatar
Lone_Scout: What would I do if I went into space? Probably try to do all sort of crazy stuff on zero-gravity.
Wheeeeeeeee?!?

avatar
Lone_Scout: Thanks for the invite and the giveaway!

Oh, and Happy Birthday, btw!!
If you want to know a Spanish birthday tradition, this song is for you ;)
Thanks for the song(got it loaded and will listen in a bit).....by the by: are ye in for any of the draws, then?

avatar
Shadowstalker16: Happy birthday and I must say you throw a great party! I'm guessing your birthday will be around the 20th?
Thanks for coming to the party and thanks for the thanks....much appreciated :) *GR bows*
As to the query: it is between the end of the contest and the end of the month. :)

avatar
Shadowstalker16: If I could go into space and do it reasonably easily, I'd like to become a a space explorer; a polymath like Alexander Von Humbolt if possible. It will be interesting being a zeno-biologist and discovering and cataloguing all the new species that stand to be discovered when space travel becomes easier. Despite being Star Trek-illiterate, I guess you could say it is to go where no man has gone before.
Yes, one could say that.....and yeah, it'll likely be fun sometimes (when not dodging face huggers, that is ;D) for those exploring space if/when we get out there.

avatar
Shadowstalker16: Birthday traditions vary across states in my country but a common food eaten on your birthday in the south is payasam (iirc called kheer in the north). Its a sweet / warm dessert based on milk, liquid jaggery or solids coated in one of those with many sweet-themed ingredients like saffron, cashews and rasins added and eaten on special occasions. Traditionally, its made and served at home and shared with family and friends. Since there are many of varieties of it, its like a birthday gift to get the exact type of payasam you want. I've attached a picture of a milk-based payasam with vermicelli, which is one of the best in my opinion.
Hmm, reminds me of rice pudding, which I love very much.
(I also like raisins and such very much as well)

avatar
Shadowstalker16: To me, the song seems cynical and a bit violently worded but seems to match the singer's reputation even though I've never heard any of his other songs before.
Yeah, that it does.
As for the rest: was gonna go with a happy/cheery song, but I did that last year and wanted to switch it up a bit this time :)

Btw, if I may ask: what did you think of the movie clip portion of that video?

avatar
Shadowstalker16: Happy birthday and thanks for the awesome party and giveaway GamezRanker!
And another thanks to Doc0075 and Ywzywz for generously adding to the cheer!
Cheers all.
And to Geralt as well(who donated a game to the party favors), and to all the guests (like yourself) who showed up and shared with us :)

avatar
Shadowstalker16: I'm not in for any of the games but am in for the Door Prize.
"Sounds good" *GR makes a few scribbles and notes in his ledger* "And I do hope you enjoy the rest of the party"

====

avatar
Geralt_of_Rivia: [Graciously bowing to the host as well as Doc.]

While I start webslinging this weekend maybe someone else wants to crawl through the underworld?

[Check your chat for a small addition to the party favors.]
You forgot Ywzywz ;)
And how very nice of you! *GR adds the party favor in it's proper place on the table*

avatar
PMPMGamer: Maybe, I would liked visit the moon and see what space travel is like in the background. Also I would liked experience zero gravity. It should be fun... :D
All of this sounds like fun....especially visiting the moon :D
(Like with Jakobfel, I recommend the game 'Deliver Us The Moon'......it is mainly based on the moon, and imo is very nice)

avatar
PMPMGamer: I usually celebrate birthdays as a family and with friends. Usually birthdays are at home and I play some fun games for fun on that day on family.
Always a good plan for a birthday, imo. :)

avatar
PMPMGamer: Thanks for the invite and the giveaway!
And a happy birthday! :)

I'll be entering only for the party favors.
*GR also marks down PMPMGamer's name in his ledger, and has a staff member dressed in harlequin attire show the new guest to their table*

avatar
KetobaK: *sad toy story meme pic*
If I had the money atm, i'd have gotten it for ya. But I DO have a table of party favors so: "feel free to pick out one special party favor of your choosing, if any others catch your eye"

drxenija: Happy birthday "certain someone"! :P
Thank ye for the birthday wishes....

avatar
drxenija: Here's a present for our spooky host!
....and for the nice gifts :)
(also yer entered for the draws you listed to me via PM, as well)

avatar
drxenija: I love Vulcan because Spock is my favourite character!
I remember watching the movie for the first time and still remember the scene.
Live long and prosper!
Yesssss....Spock always was one of the cool ones.

avatar
drxenija: It depends. Can we warp yet?
If we can warp travel, I would love to check out each planet.
And maybe we will find aliens, who knows!
We can't warp, but we can shockpoint.
And I wonder....will we meet ones like these totally fine looking chaps o.0

avatar
drxenija: I know someone hosting a house party giveaway with spooky theme :)
*GR begins to dance around again a bit, before climbing some stairs and sliding down the banister.....landing at the bottom with perfect poise*

Party Update

Added two more more special games to the list of party favors. I wonder....who will notice them first? And also, who might be the lucky ones to claim them? We shall see, I guess. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm glad I didn't miss this! May there be many rich blessings from God upon your life!

If I could go to space I'd probably want to view the vastness of creation and just sit there and marvel. After a few days of that, I'd love to go off exploring and having adventures a la H Beam Piper or EE Doc Smith or RA Heinlein's stories.

In terms of celebrating bdays, it's usually an excuse to get together with fam and have a nice dinner & play games.

GamezRanker: What did you think of the movie clip portion of that video?
I haven't seen the entire movie but it is interesting to say the least. The idea of inviting guests and making them compete for a reward sounds eccentric but at the same time they could've chosen not to come to a potentially dangerous celebration but they chose to come out of love for their friend (that or the money). Shredding the original list and making an unapproved one and then someone else / the computer(?) re-writing it again seems like a recipe for awkwardness but it looks like all the guests were happy to be invited so everything seems to have worked out. I don't know how it ends but it was probably fun :D

Watching films/shows with family can be so much fun....which is why I also do it with mine from time to time.

Btw, are ya in for any of the main draws? One can enter for Shadow Man(classic), Star Trek game credit(for one of the recent ST GOG releases), or both draws. :)

It was the ghosts of the house re-writing the list...also yeah, you might say that some had fun: the ghosts o.0 ;D
(the point of the clip, btw, was showing essentially my host persona writing out this party's list and planning the fun)

I'm in it for my choice of Star Trek; but I'd rather have the remaster of Shadow Man, so I'll pass on classic.

GamezRanker: *GR steps up to a small podium to make some announcements*

NickZah: I'm in for Star Trek Credit (I heard Mr Combs was voice actor for some ST video games, thats cool) and in for Party Favors.
avatar
GamezRanker: "It seems you've been very very lucky. Simply tell me what party favor you'd like from the list in the OP post(of those not yet handed out), and it will arrive in your hands shortly"
Thanks one more time! Sorry for long time response. I would to request Red Faction.
