I've done a little searching and can't find much in the way of an answer for my question. We all vote for games that we would like GOG to release and the community wishlist part of the website is quite robust, with details and explinations on why what where - however it's the 'when' that i'm most interested in.

Is there or has there ever been a time where GOG dev's let us know if a game is a flat no... or if it might be possible but they have no interest in finding the rights. so some sort of way of knowing wether or not it's worth holding out for GOG to release a game, as apposed to buying a version elsewhere. I love my Gog account and ideally want my games to be bouight here to support the platform, but i also really really want to play discowrld 1 and Nior.

So GOG, could you impliment a system where we get a feeling for how likley it 'may' be that you would push to aquire a game? and if so, what are the chances of seeing Discworld, Discworld: Missing PResumed and Discworld Nior on Gog in the near fututre? I could buy the PS1 versions but at £35 each, that's £70 i'd rather give to gog than ebay...
I'd say there are at least two options:
psychic hotline — to get a feel for the future
Las Vegas — for your chances; bound to be lots of betting options

Oh, and of course:
magic 8 ball

I'm thinking GOG would need to try those options, too. Well, unless they've hired psychics, but it seems like they haven't yet.

I really REALLY want those Discworld games. I have the old ones, but point-and-click games are a bit frustrating to play with a controller, and my Discworld Noir won't let me save anymore so it would be wonderful if there could be made GOG-versions that would work with new computers :)

I too am curious if there is perhaps any way for us to tell if a game will never appear here, though maybe that's not something that's possible. If the owners of the game says no now, they might say yes in the future, so who knows :)

I agree, i'd like to play the game, we have missing presumed on the PS1 and play it every christmas, but my disc is beginning to look quite worn, so GOG versions would be great.

I'm sure GOG as a business have an idea about the effort it takes to enter negotiations with an IP, so the idea of GOG being able to (at a glance) giuve some sort of idea of potential of games appearing might be something they could impliment in the future. For example if we all voted for a release of the original Intellivison game Tron deadly discs, we have internet research that tels us that Disney want over a million dollors for the IP, so i'd say, at a glance, GOG would avoid that title, based on the cost, the effort to track down the IP and enter talks and the audience nubers who would buy it.

anyway it's maybe something for the future for GOG to look at? I'm starting to get the feelingthat i might need to go to evilbay for the PS1 versions for now. And that's a value of £70 for GOG that will go to ebay, so ultimatley this issue has a monitary value to it and the4 answer could give gog income.

how do i contact a member of the gog staff to ask? maybe that's the way to go? Haha! I REALLY want some more Discworld!

Best bet would be via a support ticket but 99% sure you'll get a "Thank you for the suggestion. If we are able to provide this game, we'll let you know with an announcement! Hail Hydra!" response.

I'm sure discussions about bringing games to GoG are covered by some sort of NDA anyway and details can;t be provided until the moment of release. Rather surprised we even hear about games being pulled ahead of time around here.

Having said that, please be aware that on some support forums or websites going around the provided methods for requests is considered a crash and burn offense, harassment of staff and may result in banishment from the website.
