I'm one of the happy owners. Earlier games may not work properly even with fan patches already included by EA. I had to search Origin forums to discover the way to tame the in-game mouse cursor. Overall it's a good package, especially if you're a fan of Westwood Studios games.

Why would anyone create a raging bot to gain a reputation. What are the chances for good outcome? Can't they create just ordinary "good weather" or "this game is great" bots?

I own The Ultimate Collection and love it (all except the unplayable piece of garbage that is C&C4 that is).
I love being able to play all the old games (if you haven't played C&C Renegade you absolutely should, its a great game. Oh and if you do want to play it on modern OSs, download the unofficial patch from www.tiberiantechnologies.org since it helps a lot with modern OS compatibility as well as adding all kinds of neat features (I am the lead developer of that unofficial patch)

The unofficial patch itself is not enough to get all the games working properly (someone linked it above my post). I had to follow the guide carefully and when done, I had fully working First Decade on Win 10.

Used to applied unofficial patch only back in XP days...
However I have to set compatibility mode (Vista) the get RA2 working, and Yuri work just fine following the guide.

Somehow RA2 doesn't work again. Need to turn on troubleshooting and set compatibility again. It run for while and then freeze at random...

The newer games are okay. The older ones have serious issues, especially graphics-wise. Red alert 2 and yuri's revenge are almost unplayable, but we discussed here few years ago, about certain patches that fix that. The Ra2/Yuri fanmade multiplayer restore, though, is a mess, because they cut off game content, like use of superweapons (no option to turn them on/off, only removal from gameplay).

I want it on GOG, though. It would make the perfect addition, here. This and early GTA titles. Can't wait for this day...

I personally used the XWIS' fixes (one of the legacy solutions). I have no need for multiplayer and it seemed like the easiest fix. And it worked fine.

I wouldn't have a problem with you going to a torrent site and torrenting it if you indeed paid for a copy.

Does that version(first decade) even run all the games with no issues on modern systems? I think I had it long ago(and lost the disc) and it had timing issues where map timers would run way too fast.

Didn't the dev who made it close up shop or get bought by some other dev or publisher? That could be why.

It's pretty much the only reason one would have an Origin account for if one doesn't drool for the latest Battlefields and Apex Legendses etc.

Plus, TibDawn and RA1 are getting remastered right now, so we'll see.

I guess you must have forgotten about Mass Effect and Titanfall 2 :P
