fronzelneekburm: Bro, they heard us, they released the game here. That's all that matters. The least we can do to show our gratitude is to not drag our silly little bitchfights from one thread into another. Let's not that please, mmkay?
I would give it a rest if the Communist party wouldn't pop it's head up when suddenly we get an option for a game some actual gamers want. They are the ones triggered by suggesting more rejected games. I'm just calling out their bullshit and that triggered them. I will show gratitude through my wallet and will be buying multiple copies. I for one put my money where my mouth is.

Now if those crybabies could just STFU and let us have a game we wanted which they seem triggered by we can move on.

dgnfly: I already told you no need for you to be triggered, we understand you can't choose your own games and are handicapped to a point you need some unknown storefront person to do it for you, we understand.... just calm down. maybe you'll actually know what a good game is in the end instead of a walking simulator. I can already see you are massively triggered by the concept of Choice, Might living in a socialist-communist country be something for you?

Seeing right now I have 3 crybabies who can't stomach the idea of more games more choice and feel they are the curators of good taste ''in their own delusional mind'' Have fun getting triggered by the concept of giving consumers choice.

amok: oh dear, I seem to have accidentally triggered you with my apology for having triggered with my previous apology for triggering you before... so sorry, it was not my intention.
Are you really gonna act that childish? simply cause we wanted choice and you got triggered by it? I'll keep it at this and be the bigger man since you already looked a fool for daring to dictate choice and taste by pretending you know what good taste is.

Before you change it again or write something stupid, you started this shit by your childish ''Sorry you're offended'' simply cause you couldn't say a common sensed rebuttal when I was calling you out for wanting fewer games and less choice and pretending you're the taste police.

Wow, I must have hit you on the head real good with my comment since you just keep going on and on like some mental patient. Guess when you can't make an actual argument you just rant and rave like a lunatic. Or you desperately trying to get this thread shut down so you can feel powerful about yourself?

Did you calm down yet? or do you need to be in your safe space a little longer? I can already guess your next comment seeing as you made little sense so far. Also, don't worry I already send a message to the mod to see if they can stop your childish tantrums.

This is awkward... I triggered you again, didn't I... with my apology in post 64, for having triggered you with my apology in post 62, where I triggered you with my apology in post 59, subsequent of being triggered by my apology in post 57, where you got triggered by my apology in post 55, for having triggered you originally in post 20 with my opinions. I do hope it will not happen again. So sorry.
This is hilarious. Thanks for the entertainment, amok.

The only one here who seems to be triggered is you. And maybe RWarehall. But definitely you with your rants.
I mean, I tried to apologize to you and you can't accept gracefully, you say you're calling my bullshit when you are the one using logical fallacies and ridiculous extremes to characterize anyone who thinks you're loony.

DoomSooth: Anime Wizardry? Weird. I hope the gameplay and such make up for the character art. Would much rather have Ultimate Wizardry Archives.
It might be just me, but I tthink I would be interested in having Wizardry: Llylgamyn Saga and Wizardry: New Age of Llylgamyn (both of which *did* get Windows verisons); while they have their quirks, I don't think any are as bad as the stat down bug in the DOS versions of 1-3. It would also provide an opportunity to get an English version of the Arrange version of Wizardry 4.

It's a shame about the BACORTU bug in Wizardry 5 (unless that is present only on the PSX and not the Windows version, though).
So Japan hijacks the franchise for about two decades and refuses to release their exclusive versions to North American gamers.

And now we're finally getting one of them.

I guess I should be grateful.

To note, I have nothing personal towards Japan or their acquisition of the series. I DO take it personally when one sits on the franchise and laughs in the faces of western gamers who may actually want to play their games. Especially seeing as it was North America who gave them the franchise to begin with.

Not really, It seems you and your crybaby Amok seem to make little sense after my comments back and all you now doing is pointing the finger and screaming you're triggered!!! like some 4-year-olds. if I had know choice would trigger you both I would have held back with my freedom of expression. I know how shocking it can be to people like you who can't cope with an opinion that isn't politically correct and just gets straight to the point.

Cause what in the end triggered your comments? me speaking about freedom of choice and that seems to scare some people here, all you want is more curation cause you seem to think that gives you better games while GOG sure is missing DLC and patches. Like I said before, Put your money where your mouth is if you think curation is better than buy every game they bring here cause that's what you want a curated store which means all games released before this game or Grimoire must be a quality game then? Also, I don't see you making much of a point to start with you now just like Amok just acting like 4-year-olds pointing fingers. The ''Sorry I offended you'' was nothing more than childish banter so you could get this childish notion of you're better than me while actually not making an actual point.

I guess losers need little victories when they can't make a rebuttal so they brush it off with a childish comment like'' Sorry i offended you'' Actually I enjoy conflict so don't worry I'm very hard to trigger and online I pick subjects that trigger people cause i can then expose their stupidity. Your weeb comment already showed your bias towards this game.

Artki: CREEPING COIN!
You do realize that this particular monster only appears in groups, and never alone?

(Well, barring Wizardry 4 Arrange, of course, but even there there's the other summoned monsters.)

Dray2k: Truth be told I really, REALLY want an Anime Gothic. Just mod Gothic 1 in which everyone becomes a cute anime girl or something, IMHO these ideas are simply hilarious.
Well, there *is* Elminage Gothic, but its only similarity with the Gothic series is the word "Gothic" in the title.

Actually, Elminage Gothic is more like this Wizardry game, to the point where it really is Japanese Wizardry in all but name. If you're looking forward to this Wizardry title, or if you have already played it (on another platform, or you're reading this post after the release), I would highly recommend Elminage Gothic. Just be aware that Elminage Gothic can get quite brutal starting with the second dungeon.

rjbuffchix: What about Elminage Gothic?

Ok ok I couldn't resist.

On a more serious note I'm thrilled this Wizardry game is arriving here!! I also echo other users who are wanting other interesting games to get re-evaluated by curation (Agony and Hatred the top two most interesting choices to me).
Oops, I posted before seeing this, but I still do recommend Elminage Gothic to everybody who's interested in this Wizardry title.

takezodunmer2005: Looks like an instabuy from me as I love anime wizardry as much as the WRPG-styled original! I would like to see all of the JRPG versions on this platform to be honest!

Also, wizardry has been part of the a JRPG landscape for decades, so it's just as fitting as a proper wizardry title as the original! As I said, there's room for both in my collection!
Just as long as they fix some of the nastier bugs in some of the games.

Wizardry Gaiden 3, for example, is harder than intended because of some bugs; CORTU is usless, and some enemies gain levels (instead of regenerating HP) as the battle progresses. (On the other hand, there's a bug that makes status aliment spells cast by the player ignore magic resistance.)

Wizardry Gaiden 4 has a save corruption bug that happens if you cast the spell that removes curses.

The Game Boy Color Wizardry Empire games also have bugs, like some spells using up spell points of the wrong spell level, for example.

(It's also worth noting that classic Sir-Tech Wizardry is also a minefield of bugs, and different versions have different bugs.)

Ranayna: I have not followed the japanese Wizardry games. Is this actually a new release, or something that is already out somewhere else?
The reason i ask is, that i think the game looks actually quite good. But, at least on the surface, i would compare this to Elminage Gothic. And i have heard too much bad things about Elminage to want to play that. The difficulity is not my biggest problem (although stuff like permanent death and stat dran and such stuff is annoying), but rather the general tedium of stuff like inventory management and other stuff like that.

So, how unneccessary oldschool is this? Not to say that i do not like oldschool, but not at the cost of modern game convienience.
It came out on Japan for the PlayStation 3 back in 2009, originally as a download only title. There's also an iOS title.

There's also at least one sequel, which was only released in Japan. (I believe XSEED has talked about maybe porting the sequel if this game does well.)

DoomSooth: Anime Wizardry? Weird.
Really? The first Wizardry games had a NES port, and I prefer to play that than the pc classics, and those were influential for CRPG in Japan. And the graphics were in the typical Japanese art style you call "anime" (which is just short for animation).
Anyway, I am not interested personally and don't consider it much more than a fan game but I'm happy for those who really wanted it.
