PaterAlf: Can backers get GOG keys? Because reward descriptions only mention Steam keys?

AdmiralGeezer: Yep! GoG has confirmed we will be able to offer a GoG key instead of the Steam key if a backer wants that instead.
Looks great, I backed the project and I'll choose GOG key :)
Looks very good.
Become Captain with "brewer" trait. Cool!

Despite not having a big trust in crowfunding anymore, that's all I needed to know to back the game, so here I go: backed!
Good luck with the campaign. :)
Nice!. Look's good. Wishlisted...
Community goal has been reached, that means backers will get 2 copies of the game. Sweet! :-)

Amazing news!

Can't wait to to get my hands on a good simulator.
just backed at the alpha access tier and I have a question for the dev: will there be workshop support in the future? Another question: (because I have seen games go months without updates on here in a spreadsheet), what is the plan for updates on here. Also, with the just-unlocked second copy for tiers $20 and up, would that second copy be a copy @$20 or @ the tier we backed.

Hey!

We will create a tool to support modding, and have things that are easy to fit in there for modding supported first. Then we will see how the tool evolves with time. It's all about what's feasible taking into account the amount of work needed. We cannot promise it will be super extensive, but we will try.

If you mean updating the game we will of course aim to update all stores at the same time.

The community bonus digital copy is for the official release version, so the $20.
Looks fun!

Will mod support be open or tied into the Steam workshop? This seems to vary per game so it felt worth it to ask.

On a different note. Congratulations on getting all of your stretch goals. The last one is particularly ambitious and I'm looking forward to seeing how it'll turn out.

Would aim to have the tool downloadable from our own website! Why not Steam workshop too, just have to look into how all of that works.

I was looking at the Space Adventurer tier on backerkit that includes the soundtrack. If I were to buy that tier and choose a GOG key, would the soundtrack (and wallpaper) be included with the game on my GOG account or just on backerkit? Also, will people be able to buy the soundtrack on GOG as DLC once the game is officially released?

As long as you don't make it Steam Workshop exclusive, that's probably what some here on GOG might worry about. ;)

Unless you have a solution to the problem I'm going to mention...

Steam Workshop only works for Steam owners of any game. Which means, more often than not, a good chunk of mods are inaccessible to GOG/Humble/itch/what-have-you owners. There are external downloaders for Workshop mods, but half the time, they don't work on certain games and to this day, I am not sure why that is.

I'd look into the mod.io framework to see if it works for the game. Failing that, I'd make sure the upload process to Workshop has uploading to say your website compulsory. If neither of these are feasible, I'd leave out Workshop entirely.

Hope you understand the angle I come from. Thank you for participating in the GOG forums and reading this post.
