Atmospheric metroidvania sounds like your cup of tea? Better get ready then, because Pinball Spire is coming soon on GOG!

Pinball Spire is a game unlike any other, a pinballvania blending together classic genres - and pinball. Conquer the titular spire as a brave, plucky little pinball called Pip, destined to step into the plunger and explore the inner chambers of a mysterious spire that appeared in their world overnight.

Wishlist it now!
Listen, if you're going to be writing marketing copy, try to make sure that a word is in popular lexicon. "Pinballvania" is a dreadful turn of phrase, bletcherous in the very idea of.

Indeed, it'd be akin to calling Peglin a "Pegglevania", which would also not match.

But uh, you know? Speaking of expansive pinball games that play off their legacy relation, where the frack is Demon's Tilt?

Is GOG so into the idea of "The offbrand store" that they can't even get a spiritual successort to a mainstream game?
Calling it 'a game unlike any other, a pinballvania' seems dubious when https://www.gog.com/en/game/yokus_island_express has existed for several years. On the other hand, YIE is very good, so maybe this will be too.
Demo can be found elsewhere. Will give it a whirl.

Yoku's Island Express is excellent – and I would be inclined to buy a similar game, but I'm not so sure about the colour scheme shown on the screenshots. It seems to be too dark and too… I don't want to write drab, but I'm lacking a better word.

Dreary? Dusky? Forlorn?
Demon's Tilt and Xenotilt are a must have.

Brown-ish.
Is it similar to Sonic Spinball?

And the followup: Xenotilt - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2008980/XENOTILT_HOSTILE_PINBALL_ACTION/

I can also recommend Rollers of the realm - https://store.steampowered.com/app/262470/Rollers_of_the_Realm/, That's colorfull. getting a sequel soon as well

Ah, you probably either wanted 2006 or South of the Border Filter; color wash if you insist on being more correct.
Whoa, the releases keep rolling in!!!

Nah, not nitpicking about PR blurb or choice of colors.
Instead I'm going to hit those 'wishlist' and 'notify' buttons. Heck, yeah!
(Hoping for an acceptable entry price point, though.)

Okay, I've played the very short demo. It does look better in motion than on the screenshots.

Edit: 6 minutes including a look through the options menu.

Good recommendation. I've tried both demos – the evolution of the graphics is similar to Train Valley/Train Valley 2, but contrary to Train Valley I think it works.

What's annoying (at least in the demo) is that dialogue pauses the game while hero/ball is in play. And resuming from dialogue/menu is done without a count down.

I've looked at the price history of the first part and the discounts are all over the place. The most recent sale was 40% off, but before that there has been anything between 25 % off and 80 % off. Wild.

Will love to know too.
