Loger13: They said they knew that such names sounded ridiculous, but considered it as their "trademark", so they continue to stick to them. :)
As long as they publish their games here, they can write whatever they want in the title - that's fine with me.
Can't come with a better title though "KoA: Reckoning and Back" scratches an itch.

Also, for a lack of better words, Protagonist on trailer looks pretty good, mmm. How should we call her?
"Milady" would do? As in "Milady, manning a 2H sword is no small feat, I must salute you!"
Day one instabuy for me, thank you, THQ Nordic and GOG :)

Great news!

Are you going to add the original game too, like you did with BioShock series?
There is nothing on earth more precious then this game.... (Cyberpunk 2077 is perfection ans is excluded in this comparison) Kingdoms of Amalur is, was, and continues to be one of the greatest RPG OTS games I've played..... seeing this come here fulfills a wish I've had for almost 10 years now.

This is not just an instant buy its a stop in traffic pull over with my hazards on and buy it when i get the notification email its live.

Finally!!! And I see that it includes all expansions! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Insta-wishlisted.
Noticed its a remaster. What does that actually mean in terms of this game?.
I was debating whether I wanted to play this game again, but it coming out here gives me that extra push to get it. Take notice developers!
Holy shit, I did NOT see this coming!

Looks like I'm going to have to take this off of my steam wishlist; although I would have loved the original to have been released here so I can properly de-steam my copy, but I won't be losing any sleep over it at all!

Even if they offer a discount for those that already have the original, I'm still going to buy the GoG version instead!

Elmofongo: I thought EA owned this? How did THQ got it off their hands?
I Think EA only owned the publishing rights which is probably expiring very soon, hence why THQ Nordic had no qualms about remastering and polishing the game in the meantime.

For example, Reckoning is no longer for sale on Steam and it's 75% off on EAs Origin storefront right now... perhaps a farewell sale?

Good to hear it's releasing here.
Seems it will follow the model of the likes of Titan Quest: adding content ontop of what was afaik a complete product. So 1-2 dlc to follow depending on the sucess? Makes sense, risk/business wise, but i'd prefer something completely "new" or standalone.
Regardless, i will buy the game at some point.

Niggles: Noticed its a remaster. What does that actually mean in terms of this game?.
Did some research and most info was vague but it looks like the standards are here such as graphical/texture touch ups, some quality of life improvements, some bug fixes (but they couldn't guarantee how far they could go) and will include all DLC (haven't seen anything that states if it will include the Mass Effect 3 promotional DLC though I doubt it)

The remaster though will be getting an expansion pack in 2021 called fatesworn so it does look like they are taking this seriously rather than a quick re-release like some other companies have done.

cheers for that. Hope its possible for them to dial up the difficulty (plenty of people used a mod (the name of which escapes me) to make the game a tad harder than it originally is -- which it isnt)
What will be the price tag?

The Standard Edition will be available for an SRP of € 39.99 / $ 39.99 / £ 34.99 / ₽ 1929.00, The Fate Edition for an SRP of € 54.99 / $ 54.99 / £ 47.99 / ₽ 2669.00
The Collector’s Edition for an SRP of $109.99 / €109.99 / £99.99.

Ixamyakxim: VERY interested in this and I LOVE THQ Nordic...

... but only if I can get a confirm that 38 Studios doesn't get a dime from sales of this. I'm *assuming* that the terms of the deal to purchase the IP transferred everything away from them? I *think* it was already in the hands of a State Govt and not even 38, but I'd like a confirm on that.
38 declared bankruptcy years ago. They no longer exist.
I wouldn't worry about them profiting off this.
The Amalur franchise had a lot of potential; nice to see that it's returning from the dead.
