Prepare for a sci-fi city builder where every resource you produce has to go through an elaborate transport infrastructure. InfraSpace is coming soon to GOG.COM!
As with any other InDev title that piques the interest - will pick it up once it gets its full release.
Looks good so far, though.

"Be first to comment" in the news post for Gone Viral just points at the general discussion forum, by the way.
1: Sinfully ugly. At least apply rotational noise to plopped buildings for a minimal amount of visual joy. I don't believe the future will be this repetitious. [InDev should fix this by release, likely...]
2: Looks like American-style automobile-centric transportation is applying here. :( [this may not be fixable]

Looks China won the space race, looks like one of those empty chinese cities, and damn it we're colonising planets and still its spaghetti roads!
Great.
The thing about colonizing other planets is to not make the mistakes we made on the previous ones. Each new colony, a learning experience. This looks to not actually fix the problems and instead is just an excuse to model weird angular buildings.

So why does this appear to follow the problems of sprawl and decentralization? They should have sprung for the Netherlands Development Package instead of this ugly hell.

I like what I see, though I wouldn't mind some extra eye candy/details.

The one thing I am not crazy about is what appears to be a very easy way to move roads and possibly buildings when you feel like it.

I hope either I am mistaken about this game mechanic, or at least there is an extra cost (money or whatever) in doing so. Else it just kills any realism, for me at least.

Otherwise, I like the idea and if the game is good I will gladly buy it when it is completed.

Unfortunately we never got the Anno 2088 or whatever it is called, so any colony building strategy/sim is a welcome one.

I'm part of a Euro-Centric Discord server and I've seen videos along the lines of (Paraphrasing here) "Why the US Road system is a casino" and "How Mass Transit Funds The Roads"; both describing how buying a car and using it doesn't actually give all that much money back to the DOT or cities.
Sadly, this looks like a wasted opportunity.
Sorry, Devs, but I see no Sci-Fi city builder.
All I see is a normal city builder, restricted to a desert environment.
What I definitely don't see is the colonised planet "on the edges of human space".
I remember plying the demo of this a bit back. I quite enjoyed it then, very relaxed builder

I am now; thanks for the introduction to this sub, as there should only be service vehicles and public transportation! I fuckin' despise cars, every advert is some shitty car/truck commercial!
This game has similar visual style like Surviving Mars
The name being close to Inner-Space made me wishful for another Newtonian physics space shooter game where i can play a dolphin who shoots fireballs...
Looks decent, I like the overall vibe. It's clean and looks like it'd be relaxing to look at while you play.

That sounds interesting :). Have you tried the ΔV: Rings of Saturn demo? It is closer to asteroids than a shooter but is physics based (currently in development with the demo kept updated as well). No dolphins either :( (and I don't think it would fit with the game), although the developers are active on the forums so if you have ideas based on inner space they would likely consider them. The tutorial is minimal so there is a lot to figure out but I played the demo for over five hours without finding any restriction so you don't need to purchase before figuring out how it works.

I agree with everyone saying how bad InfraSpace looks. Aven Colony and Surviving Mars are both much nicer looking, although I didn't like Aven Colony (other than the graphics, which are nice). Both the car-centered layout and the lack of interesting terrain are disappointing. One thing I love about the Roller Coaster Tycoon games is the interesting terrain. Timberborn is the one recent builder with more interesting terrain, although it is square blocks. Hopefully InfraSpace will improve in development, although it doesn't seem off to the best start.
