"Please note that this is a censored version of the game" no purchase on GOG for me then.

Okay, I guess I'll have to ask the devs if the game can be uncensored as easily as the first one then before buying.

...No buy. The Steam edition is to be uncensored by default, with the option to censor.
Di a search and there seems to be conflicting information:

Didn't' find any direct quotes but they range from "It depends on the region you are in" to "It will be easy to work around like the first game"

So by the sounds of it if you do get a censored version that will be easy to rectify.

NuffCatnip: I highly doubt that, the first one was released censored.
The second title seems to be more explicit.
Since then Steam has allowed adult games on their platform (see Evenicle, among others).

Oh, alright. Didn't know. Haven't really been there for a while now.In my mind they were still pretty restrictive regarding this type of game. :P
I think they even blocked access to these games from german IPs. :)
Not that I mind. :)
Last title I bought was Among Us over a year ago. :P

The first one was fun, I had 30 hours in it and I personally don't mind it's censored. I understand how that's a bummer for other players but Iactually prefer the ceonsored version, but it should be an option.
why didn't Huniecam ever show up?

Not sure.

I'm also bummed Huniepop 1 didn't add achievements to the GOG version. Seems silly, but I'd love to re-earn all those achievements again through GOG Galaxy.

I am going by what is said on the Steam forums. Apparently there was a Titter or somesuch about the censorship is to be handled.

Yeah I was wondering about that, if they have a drop file to make the game uncensored like the first one. Crossing fingers, if not then this is a no buy for the first time due to something like this.

HuniePop 1 is literally unplayable because it has unbeatable (at least for average, non-eSports-players) timed "bedroom puzzles" in which you have less than 5 seconds successfully to perform a move before the ludicrously-short timer goes all the way down to zero and therefore you lose all your progress in those puzzles.

That's not even enough time simply to look at the screen to see where a potential move might exist, much less enough time actually to perform the move too.

This makes it impossible to progress past those parts of the game.

Dozens/hundreds of people pointed this out to the dev, starting 5 or 6 years ago. But despite all that massive feedback, the dev's response was that they don't see an issue...and they did absolutely nothing to patch it...in other words, they deliberately left the game permanently broken forever.

I have hundreds of games on GOG, not all of which I like, but HuniePop is perhaps the only one where I feel like I've been outright scammed as a result of having bought it.

Accordingly, I will not be buying HuniePop 2 since I don't want to support such unethical practices of devs releasing broken games and then refusing to patch them.

I don't understand why almost all mention some kind of puzzles... Is there any puzzles in HuniePop, because I don't find anything (゚*゚)

P.S. I'm joking ٩(^‿^)۶
For those complaining about the censoring, you do realize that in Huniepop 1 it was simple as making a named dummy file, right?

Or are ya'll the dummy file here?

NuffCatnip: I can explain, I only bought it for the puzzles. Seriously! :P

amok: Hunie Pop has puzzles? I never noticed them...
Heh, don't post something while working I guess. :)

I could make a joke about multi tasking, but...nah. :P

Because it mentions fetishes? I honestly don't know. It's probably too niche. :P
