There’s a certain magic that can only be found in classic titles. We know that very well and we are also fully aware that so do you. That’s why we are that much more excited to announce that…

4 awesome classics from SNEG are coming soon to GOG: Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace, DeathKeep, DragonStrike and Fantasy Empires!

Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace is an adventure RPG with strategy elements that provides swashbuckling excitement and the magic of D&D adventures, but in wildspace! In this gem you’ll captain your own Spelljammer ship, recruit officers and crew to man your magical ship, and soar into the ether and explore the planets of Realmspace.

DeathKeep is a D&D dungeon delving the way you like it - fast, furious and fun! An evil Necromancer has escaped from his icy prison and is wreaking havoc upon the surrounding lands. Journey to this frozen wasteland and destroy the forces of evil - if you dare.

DragonStrike is the first-ever dragon combat simulator! In this title the deadly skies above the Dragonlance game world of Krynn explode before your very eyes. The first-person viewpoint propels you into a fully animated, 3D world of action and excitement. So to the skies brave knight - and victory!

Fantasy Empires is a D&D adventure and the first title to feature a computer Dungeon Master who mediates all elements of the game play. Create alliances, defeat enemy kingdoms and forge an empire in this exciting world. Under the computer Dungeon Master, you’ll interact with fantastic races, command dozens of troop types, send your heroes on quests and construct a variety of buildings and fortifications.

We couldn’t be more excited! Make sure to wishlist those masterpieces so you won’t miss their release dates or any special offers. Let’s relive the nostalgia.
Spelljammer looks suspiciously like an Ultima 6-engine game. Dragon Strike looks quaint. The most interesting of the bunch for me would be Deathkeep.

Jalister: It's good to see these announced shortly after the silver box collection.
Which really should have been just a part of yesterday's announcement. Splitting these up piecemeal is just silly and clogs the news feed.
I love that all of theses oldies are coming out on GoG but I gotta ask where is the neverwinter nights 2 enhanced edition?
It would be nice to see Slayer ported to PC to go along with DeathKeep, but I doubt it will happen.

karnak1: Another user as rightly stated that SNEG should also try to acquire the rights to the the "Summoning", a quite nice - though almost forgotten - CRPG.

I also suggest resurrecting "Veil of Darkness" and "Cyber Empires" (it's basically "Fantasy Empires" but on a sci-fi setting).
Yooooo thanks for the suggestions, I'm always looking for new games to "hunt" down (I prefer GOG releases) and these look mint. I liked their two World of Aden games, but not so much Prophecy of the Shadow.

Seems to have been a custom engine though.

Another bunch of formerly mediocre (and in some cases: bad) games.
I can remember playing some of them...and swearing about the bugs...remember there was no internet.
Even with my fond memories of games like Pool of Radiance (hey, I bought and played it for C64, Amiga and PC)
I must confess that I wouldn't play them again.
Very nice! That'll be a couple more thousand wishlist votes completed :)

aschaefer75: This is actually the best news on GOG this year - finally, we see a large number of classics coming in again - Good Gld Games as it should be...

I actually look forward for an announcement for the two Buck Rogers games now - hopefully, we can complete the SSI AD&D catalogue with these additions soon...
To be fair, they're coming to Steam also. I certainly agree about the Buck Rogers games though.

Looking forward to these. Never played them but picks my interest.

this. I''d kill for Steel Empires (Cyber Empires)
The only game of this bunch that I have played is DragonStrike. This game really is dragon jousting. You're not going to just fly around on your mighty dragon and have it blast everything out of the sky with its breath attack.

That reminds me of a Game Boy Advance game that would have been released in the US under the title "Wizardry: The Summoning" (Wizardry Summoner in Japan), and would have been one of the few Japanese Wizardry games to reach the US, but it ended up being cancelled, which is a shame.

Then again, I did decide to play it on an emulator at one point, and there is one *major* issue with the game: XP and Gold awards are swapped, so leveling up takes way too long (even by standards of early Sir-Tech Wizardry), while you end upt with tons of money and nothing to do with it.

I know it's dumb but I also like to swoop down and eat some crunchy knights.

There is no NWN 2 Enhanced Edition - never has been, most likely never will. Beamdog posted about making it for one April Fools day, but that’s it.

And all my initial interest for DragonStrike is now gone.

You can have your dragon shoot out fireballs at things, but I remember this being limited such that you do end up spending most of your time dragon jousting.
