Carradice: Count me in for #9. Although time is scarce these days. Will have very little time to post... Endgame comments on HP thread will probably be the swan song... But Harry Potter was so much fun. Lets us give it a try, then if things get hairy maybe Micro can take over :-/

I don't care. I have no idea what is expected of me though I played Mafia games (the one with a hidden killer / forum game) before but I'll do my best, be it this Weekend of the next Monday.

When I voted for "Lovers" I was actually voting for twist. Because Lovers = twist. Get it?

Lifthrasil: I can run the game as an open, no roles at all game. I always wanted to try that. That would mean that this game is pure social deduction without being able to resort to Cops or other investigators.

Or I run it as closed game, which fits the 'you all stumble into a haunted hotel and don't know what to expect' setting. So it's closest to the flavour.

Or I can make a list of possible roles that might be there, but include a twist. I.e. one or two of the possible roles might work a bit differently from how they are described on mafiascum.
The three options look interesting. Powers add thrill, surprises, sudden joys and misfortune. On the other hand, the pure deduction one would be the easiest to balance (just check a table or run it in the simulator), and it would reward work well done. Twists are nice too.

So we have 3 votes for closed, 2 votes for twist (and shout) and one vote for open. And 2 vs 1 for start on Monday.

Therefore we start on Monday with the closed setup. (which might contain the twist as well)
