A CD PROJEKT RED Witcher treat for all of us.

CD PROJEKT RED are demoing an all new bit of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay during PAX this weekend - but you don't have to go all the way there to see it. You can just watch it here, with us! It's just another day on the job for Geralt, as he tracks down the bloody remains of a merchant caravan - and the huge, beastly reason responsible for the mess. It's a showcase of the depth you'll encounter, and the skills you'll employ, as a professional monster hunter. Oh yeah, and this is just a sidequest.

We don't want to spoil the fun, so check out the video right here!

If you think The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is looking awesome, you can always pre-order it right here.. Getting the game on GOG.com is the one way to directly support development at CD PROJEKT RED (we're one big family after all), and we'll give you a bucket full of cool stuff to go - that includes a FREE copy of Neverwinter Nights, two digital comic books, exclusive soundtracks and a lot more.

Beligerent: I pre-ordered this but am becoming worried... Every video highlighting gameplay so far has been with a control and I am a PC player for a reason! I use a keyboard and a mouse! Also, I upgraded my rig to be able to handle this but have not been really blown away by the graphics in the game play videos... Certainly not worthy of the required specs.
I agree, it is high time that CD Projekt RED showed proper PC gameplay with Keyboard and Mouse instead of just hyping up the game for console players. It seems like they are deliberately shying away from showing the PC user interface with Keyboard and Mouse controls so that they don't get a negative reaction from the many PC users that played the first two games. They have neglected their PC roots and PC gamers while marketing the game as all gameplay demos so far have been geared towards introducing newcomers to the world of The Witcher.

tfishell: Grats GOG but some of us just want to know a rough idea of when we'll see more LA/Disney games here. ;-)
Not just that, but also Warner and Paradox as well :D

Edit: and uh, Humongous, maybe ._.

deonast: I'm halfway there. Upgraded a couple of months ago to a Intel I7-4790K, windows 7, ssd etc. Just need to do the graphics card and maybe a new monitor and speakers. I'm leaving that last part until as late as possible just to see where the technology goes. I've not been keeping up to date as much as I used to on PC component industry releases and trends.
Hmm, wont go for SSD yet.
Waiting for them to further dump in price, besides i dont know enough about them to know what kind of brand it pays of to invest in now.

Il list my current rig im building
just in case anyone is curious.

Tower :
CM Storm Trooper Gaming Big Tower
Mainboard :
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VII HERO, Socket-1150
XFX ProSeries Black Edition 750W PSU
Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 16GB KIT

Seagate Barracuda® 2TB
ASUS BW-16D1HT, Blu-Ray Writer

I wasn't too sure about the SSD either, ended up reading a few reviews and going for a Samsung 840 EVO 500GB about AUD $240 it was cheaper as they were just about to go to the 850 range which doesn't offer a heap more performance for the price.

I was shocked as I had installed Win7 at the same time and the bootup / shutdown times compared the the old creaky XP machine are startling.

Well, if it took GOG 3 months between each wave, then we should be expecting the next wave in April.
Well, I really hope that there will be proper keyboard and mouse support and very good performance on PC.

Btw. to the people who preorder games: Don't preorder games. Never ever!
they should make a DX12 version. i'd even wait for it if need be.
Nice video, but the player did a strange choice, he used the oil on the steel sword, whereas it 'd have made a lot more sense to apply it on the silver sword.
On another note: I have the CPU of the minimum spec and the graphic card from the recommended one... so I wonder iftheir engine is so much tied to CPU. :P

Probably. :P
Still 2 months, 2 weeks, 1 day and 9 hours to go and counting.

Well, that's dissapointing then. I'll definitely test the game before putting my money in anything. :P

Pretty sure it's not direct X, it's planned for MACOS and Linux, right?

1 - "Rashid Sayed: Are there any plans to use Mantle or DX 12 features in The Witcher 3? May be post launch?

Balazs Torok: There are definitely plans for exploring different graphics APIs, post launch. Right now we are concentrating on providing the best possible game for the majority of our players."

I stand corrected thn! :P

So when they'll port it to MacOS and Linux, they'll have to reprogram a bunch of things, probably losing features on the way... that's always a bummer...
Not that I'm convinced at non-windows gaming to start with though... :/

Just a reminder for whom interested in preordering the game.
CD Projekt RED and GOG are a one big family but only when it is convenient. CD Projekt RED is also married (or remarried to be more precise) to its wife Namco Bandai, so they prioritize it over the rest of the family and in the end GOG get regional pricing for an in house game.
About the digital comic, the true facts are that at least one has DRM (only accessible online), it may or may no be delivered and GOG cannot do nothing about that (it is handled by a third party).

So in the end for 1 game GOG managed to break 2 of its principle.
