I was wondering what many of you consider to be the best TV Show of all time ...

If I were to pick, I think I would have to go with 'The Prisoner' with Patrick McGoohan.

I don't watch tv much (or at all tbh) but one of my favorite shows were:

24 (the very first seasons)

Legend of aang/korra

These were the ONLY series that I watched through the season finale... I can't say one of them is THE BEST. I like them all :p

The Wire is obviously the best TV show ever made, even Wiki says so :) Get it, watch it and be educated.

It's all a matter of personal preference. One persons idea of great is another's idea of mediocrity. For example I did not like the show Breaking Bad all that much, watched it all the way to the end and found it to only be ok. But a lot of people think it's one of the greatest shows ever. For me it's:

Firefly
Friends
Supernatural

The first few seasons are not that great, all in all tho, Voyager contains the shittiest, but also the best individual episodes I've seen while going trough Star Trek. Obligatory shout-out to Year of Hell. It also took Q episodes and actually made them good.

Most shows are like that though, I consider X-Files (well at least the first five seasons) to be one of my favorites when thinking about the actual main plot/mythos episodes, but even then I will cringe just thinking about some of the filler crap they put out. I remember this one episode about vampires and bushfires or something which was just horrid.
