This is a special day. As I've mentioned several times already I've just finished King's Bounty: Dark Side which was my last unfinished game. That's right, my backlog was defeated, every game I own I've finished at least once. That's a good reason to celebrate, isn't it? A lot. 334 on GOG + ~300 other DRM-free games + 150 Desura (most of them are very short though) + many boxed games. Some of them are duplicates (digital backups of retail versions) so far example treat my GOG version of Wizardry 6-8 as a backup, I've finished those games back then, I haven't replayed them after getting them here.

Tell me: how did you finish the entire thing?

Good memory. I usually play 30+ games at (more or less) the same time. Usually ~5 p&c adventures, ~5 RTS, ~5TBS, ~5 RPG, ~5 action games +5 mood dependent games. It's not a problem for me to switch from one game to another, I'm not lost. I remember pretty well what was that particular game about, quests, NPCs etc. I can even take a few month long break which is pretty often the case for p&c adventures because every time I find coin as a screwdriver or getting a key from the other side of a door cliché I HAVE to take a long break. This way I play pretty efficiently without wasting time on decision which game to play and I'm almost never restarting a game that I've once started. And I'm not a completionist ;)

I have something similar in total number of games owned digitally, and I always just took it as granted that I wasn't going to be able to finish the vast majority of them (taking solace in the fact that most of them seemed to be bundle trash). I can't say you've inspired me, but you've definitely got me thinking about it now :D. Congrats (and not in).
