Devyatovskiy: Now that's how you start a good-old-fashion forum flame war!!! Great quality bait!

the first console I ever bought was PS2 (though I had NES and SNES growing up and some other consoles as hand-me-downs). PS2 was epic and I still love it to this day.

By the time I was ready to purchase a PS3, they got rid of the backward compatibility in hardware. Around that time, it started becoming apparent that Sony cared little for game preservation in general and was starting to shift toward making movie-like games. The removal of hardware backward compatibility was the driving factor, but also around that time, I started falling in love with the original Xbox (Halo and Fable to blame).

Anyway, 360 followed my PS2 and since then I've not looked back on Sony. After they killed their PSP and Vita and started pivoting even harder into games that play like B-rated movies, I knew that I made the right decision. It would be years before all the RPGs that made PS1/2 and PSP so memorable started showing up across all consoles.

Then Sony joined Nintendo is declaring an outright war on older games and started pulling plugs on older storefronts and making swaths of their library unavailable.

Fast forward and today I own a minifridge (S|X) and will likely never entertain the idea of having a melted piece of plastic (PS5).
Bleh NO game on XBox 360 blew me away like "Folklore". For Wii it was "Madworld" and "Cursed Mountain" and maybe a few others.
I do admit I loved "Lost Odyssey" but in terms of being the full suite, very few companies compare to pre-Sammy Sega.
Normally OP's trolling is quite entertaining, but I feel like this one is a bit low effort considering that GOG doesn't sell either xbox or playstation games. It doesn't matter which of the two is preferred by anyone or if the answer is they both suck.

The trolling about question should have been something like Laptop or Steam Deck.

But I don't like teams.
So... Irish Coffee.
Though I like the Irish better than the coffee.
Whisk(e)y, my final answer.
I will save you a glass from the bottle I just opened. Now how will I get it to you.

Folklore is good and cursed mountain is good minus the ending. Never heard of madworld but will look into it.

I'm on team neither, and to only do one's business immediately before taking a shower.

"Madworld" is a beat em' up that looks like a comic book but with a start B&W contrast.

There was another Wii game I was SUPER-pumped to buy and it kept getting worked on then got canned(Nintendo was paying for its development). The developer is still around and I want to DESPERATELY interview them about it.

@OP - I'm not saying that both weren't good, because they were, and I have both. But jeez, you are living a bit in the past aren't you, both have been superseded a couple of times.

Both had good and bad points, but I will leave that up to my kids, as I exclusively play games on the PC ... a few on the now ancient N64 console aside.

Oh I remember Lost Odyssey. The first jRPG that I've gone through 100%. Had every achievement in it and acquired literally everything the game had to offer. I think something close to 300-400 hours spent in it. Vast majority of it was mindless grinding. Not sure if I'd ever be able to pull something like that off again.

For me, that wasn't the selling point of 360, but rather Fable II and III... both of which turned out to be a massive disappointment riding on the heels of the first game. There were a few bangers that really got me hyped for 360. Lost Planet was one of them. There was a lot of stuff about Halo as well, but I didn't really care as much about the series after the first one. Then there was Gears of War which piqued my curiosity.

PS3 had a ton of stuff too, like the God of War games... and I loved the first couple of those on PS2 with a passion! There was also a lot of jRPGs which just never crossed over to Xbox side of things. If it weren't for them canning the backward compatibility with PS2, I'd be a complete Sony fanboi today... probably.

You just nailed why I didn't buy a PS5 at launch except for me it was PS3 bc. Now I will buy a PS5 eventually for a cheap 4K OLED display in the PSVR2.
Fable was Peter Molyneux being JEALOUS of Yu Suzuki's success and details included in Shenmue and said HE could do better with that. I figured he was full of hot air, knowing that even IF he pulled it off the game would be short. I think he should apologize to Suzuki for his arrogance.
I was less a fan of Capcom's early 3D games on the 360, with the THREAT that if "Dead Rising" sold poorly they wouldn't`release as many games on it. They commented on how it was meant to pander to the Western audience basically which I found offensive. Now Bionic Commando Rearmed was a different story.

Okay, now you're engaging in low effort trolling because you know exactly what I meant. GOG does not sell games to be downloaded and played on a PlayStation or Xbox. It doesn't matter if the game was originally released on a console system, it's still going to be played on your computer. That is what I was referring to, and you know it.
I used to prefer Xbox 360 but i always secretly wondered whether it was just because i didn't have a PS3. Then i got a PS3 and had a direct comparison and i prefer Xbox 360 A LOT. It feels like every cross platform game is more enjoyable for me on the Xbox 360. There are also some games like Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and Final Fight: Double Impact which have always online DRM on PS3 but not on Xbox 360.
Team PC here also, though I am using an XBox 360 controller atm to play Grandia II AE (GOG).

(Currently delisted...though I hope it comes back some day, charming game and quite fun)
