Paraharaha: Take a look in your gog account under settings -> notifications.
I don't think they will be sent retroactively. But Gog repeats this kind of offers at irregular intervals. just today they sent another special offer for frostpunk for newsletter recipients.

Can you see the discount without redeeming the code?

Or once you go through the captcha to see how discounted it is, is it gone for good?

You can only see the discount after redeeming the code. I have been posting the codes along with the game and the discount amount in the news thread for the halloween sale. So you can check there for the amounts if you don't want to redeem to see the amounts.
